I believe you were hating on LaHair. You posted like ten times in that thread about how he was going to come back down to earth and then you patted yourself on the back as a "realist" when your prediction (that was predicted by literally EVERYONE here) came true.

I believe that describes hating. If Im wrong, that's fine. But dont act like thats some thing I just throw out all the time.

There was nothing malicious directed at you. I apologize if it came off that way.

I just find it funny that this section has been overrun by Cubs fans who are claiming that Sox fans spend too much time worrying about the Cubs.

Ok. Cool.

Lets just put this out there right now: The debate over which teams entire fanbase is more concerned with the others will rage on....but as far as the CSFMB goes....its dead even. There are hates and non carers on both sides

IMU , if Keith Law ever sees you he's going to literally kill you.

I think dolphin is over estimating cub fan theo4 adoration (at least on this board) and white sox young talent

I don't know many people counting on Vitters and Jackson.

More like counting on Soler and Almora. Vitters and Jackson are about as relevant as LaHair or Campana

Rank? These guys are major leaguers. The opinions of the obscurity peddlers mean nothing at this point. There is quantifiable data available at the MLB level. Jones was not solid (whatever that means because solid to me means a guy I would want on my team), he was excellent. Reed was not solid, he was good. Viciedo I guess would be in that solid category.

That is 12% of your roster made up of rookies who project to long careers as everyday players at the MLB level. Throw in the additional guys and you have yourself a nice base of MLB proven talent should you choose to go into full rebuild.

As RPB correctly pointed out, this goes both ways.

At any given time during the baseball season, the White Sox section is bombarded by Cubs fans. This cannot be denied.

We don't claim cpguy, Stephan from Elmhurst, and 312player as members.

We are on the hook for pasta though. Can't be helped.

Oh yes you do. They might be islands, but they are still protectorates. Consider them the Virgin Islands.

Of those three, maybe 1 of them has a long career....maybe.

You say cub fans buy into hype but you're projecting three young guys with one decent season to be proj
ected for long careers.

Ill bet you were counting on.long careers from Jason Bere, Mike Caruso and Joe Borchard as well

They have some decent young talent. A small pct of them will work out long term. You're describing them as if they're loaded. They are not.

Andcthe cub system (many left over from the Henry drafts) is better than you indicate.

Cub fans needn't apologize for following prospects. Its too bad people here don't actually read what's written about those

Yes I was speaking of the data and those who analyze it.

Think of how ridiculous you sound comparing any minor league player to Sale right now. Not only would Sale be the top prospect in the Cubs "system" he would be the top pitcher on any team called the Cubs in the last 5+ years.

But no, that is not what I am saying. I could give a fuck about Cub prospects. I follow major league teams. What I do know is that should two of Epstien's top picks from this draft be productive major leaguers within two years of being drafted, you would swoon

Wrong again. IMU speaking of Jones, Reed, and De Azas major league numbers and how you ate misleading them and projecting with your heart.

Actually it's mostly like this

You pragmatists on here can call it what you want,I call it losing. As a Cub fan,it makes
me sick to my stomach. How much further can this team of ragtag, poor young talent
fall? This pitching staff is worse than the one Dusty Baker got saddled with some years back in his last season. You can not come back next season with this kind of crap. You can develop talent, have a young corp, but at least sign some (any) free agents.

Right...they're probably in there. No sense in actually looking.

1) I don't buy into your theory that the media creates the Theo adoration rather than reflecting it so I would submit, among other cover stories, a picture of a guy walking on water in an analogy to a person I consider the literal God of all things known and unknown

2) Steve's posts in this section have boiled down to nothing more than the presence of Epstien ensuring the rebuild's future success.

maybe I'll spend some time researching further because you say you are not satisfied.

I don't read anything Steve posts but having confidence in a successful gm is not adoration.

Kenny gets more undue props than Theo on this board

And even if cub fans were like that....I am Not. So don't tell me id swoon. It couldn't be further from the truth.

My first post on this board was ripping the 97 win cubs as they entered the post season. So direct your bullshit elsewhere

Middle relievers aren't critical components to a team and don't have long careers?

You act as if Reed winning the closer's role and producing in that position doesn't portend to some success.

That is irrational discussion.
