SVP is actually a good show.

Two things. First, Matt Forte's at Tilden H.S. today on behalf of Duracell. The interview was cut short because Forte had to do some actual coaching for kids there. Second, Ryen Russillo & Scott Van Pelt have signed extensions with ESPN Radio. The name of their show is now called "SVP & RUSSILLO". Just so you know...

Three things. First, a common way of cooking carrots is the boiling method. Second, though it's widely assumed that cars should have oil changes every 3,000 miles, most can go 5,000 given today's auto technology. Third, the population of Armada, Michigan is 1,656. Just so you know...

Exactly, which is why I found it stupid that Bernsy couldn't stop heaping praise on Goff while admonishing previous and current part-time hosts/producers.

That Industrial Strip spot is all over the place. It sounds like the premise is going to be that there's no more smoking, but then they go with the whole "pretend you don't know about the Industrial Strip and the adjacent casinos" thing. Those are two commercials in one, but sewn together rather poorly. They should've gone with two 30s instead of one franken-60.

Doug Gottlieb just said the Tigers had the game "locked up in the bag." Do bags usually have locks?

The title might not have lived up the Curious Hair's lofty standards, but it works nicely in the Serendipitous Thread Alignment thread.

Knowing my limitations, I formally request that sir Curious start the final Goff WSCR show when he hosts with Spiegel tomorrow.

Jason thanked the twitter people, facebook people, remote patrons, but not us. I wish he had acknowledged the adoration and constructive criticism he's received from the people here in "Who Farted?"

I wonder how this affects the "producers chipping in freely" dynamic of the show. Can we expect unfettered contributions from Herb Lawrence?

Jason hinted that Herb is probably getting the gig, by the way. He does a good job, even if he was a total penis that one time he posted here.

So he'll take credit for the fact that CBS sent Jason to Atlanta or that J. Hood is a host down the dial or Dan Zampillo is a suit at GN or Leery is destined to hang around the Score forever, but he won't acknowledge having actively done anything to help them. It just so happens that radio's best and brightest prospects are consistently moths to his flame and merely working for him is all they really needed to make it to the top. That's sorta crappy. So Mac isn't afraid to advocate for his young guys. Fine. I find that admirable in a cutthroat industry. Of course no one is there merely to perpetuate one's legacy, but it's still something you make time and effort to do, and it's something Dan has done, which makes this whole paragraph a complete waste of time.

I've always attempted to help people under me succeed. If you'll pardon the expression. However, not everyone is like that. I've been burned, but I'll take my way. Not that I have to justify my response, but that's part of the reason I felt slightly emotional with the whole deal. When people decide to do their own thing, no matter how far out of their comfort zone it might be, that's a great thing. But this is an Internet chat board, so I'm sure that's burrito.

I've given Dan a healthy ration of shit in the last year and a half or so, but the crying thing was in an entirely different league than LeBron-slurping or Sox attendance talk. Maybe the single worst moment in the history of the show.

as Jason labored there for almost nine years and matt for 10 as producers on a show with, admittedly, almost no production
