you really honestly think that the protests wouldn't be happening if the Walton family were Democrats?
Wow. You have a fucked up world view man.
Were there protests in front of Best Buy?
Target?
Lowes?
I didn't see protests in front of Costco this weekend, I saw protests in front of Wal Mart.
Nobody was protesting in front of Sears when my wife had to work on Thanksgiving night.
Show me where you see someone saying Sears is bad for America, because it put Mom and Pop stores out of business.
Trust me, it isn't "fucked up," its just what people cling to.
Wal Mart is an easy target for the protesters, due to the Walton's political slant. The protesters don't think, they react to what they feel is a "wrong" in the world, ignoring all the other wrongs that are just as bad.
Right. They are reacting to something they see as wrong. You should be applauding them for it. Instead you are saying they are picking on the Waltons because they are Republican. Party affiliation has absofuckinglutley nothing to do with it. Except for those like you who want to turn it into part of the issue.
Way to ignore the big picture BabyMcNown. Why do the protesters ignore all the other stores I mentioned? Why is it that all these protests slant towards Wal Mart?
They have had it drummed into them that Wal Mart is the source of all these Mom and Pop stores going under, all the while ignoring all the other non-union corporations that have moved into the smaller market areas.
Let's keep it to one store, one I'm familiar with and their policies, and that would be Sears. Again, where were the protestors Thursday night as I dropped my wife off to work at Sears? Where have you ever heard Sears was bad for America? Sears has not only bought products from manufacturers with overseas construction, their HR department is now handled by a call center in India, for crying out loud!
Where's the outrage there? Where are the unions, who have carried Craftsman tools into the workplace for the past 100+ years, showing up to state the outrage? Where are the protest lines, and the inflatable rats, and the "shame on you, Sears" signs? Were they out there and I just missed them?
Or is it just easier to listen to those talking head morons on the TV (also made in China/Singapore/Taiwan/etc) and show up in front of your local Sam's Club/Wal Mart because, "They are so anti-union/American?"
Face it Baby Mc, no matter how you spin this, Wal Mart gets the crosshairs placed on them because its an easy target. Its been a target for years. But instead of looking at all of the sources of this so-called "evil" that Wal Mart seems to represent? It would actually show a bit of intelligence on our part, instead of clinging to soundbytes that come out of the TV/radio and following along like the proverbial lambs to slaughter.
The problem basically all of this is us, the American consumer If we weren't so insistent on having the latest/greatest/best thing for the cheapest amount?
We would still be seeing a lot more made here in the States versus being shipped in from overseas.
