I will ask you five questions.

1) Do you think that it makes a difference as far as keeping/cutting Lovie Smith if the Bears don't make the playoffs versus making the playoffs and losing the first game? I'm not sure why there is this magic cutoff that making the playoffs means he keeps his job, even if he loses 34-13.

2) When opening a personally addressed envelope, do you check both the return address and the postmark before opening? Do you pay any attention to the stamp used?

3) It seems clear that there are financial problems that are hanging around the NHL. Sports in general haven't been able to continue on the 1990s pace of expansion. Do you think contraction would be a possible pathway to resolve some of these issues? If so, how do you think the players association would get to a point that they could agree eliminating some of their jobs would be beneficial to the players association as a whole? If not, how do you think they will be able to maintain relevancy in the 9 markets that could not even reach 90% attendance figures?

4) After eliminating the most common foreign cuisines (chinese, mexican, etc.), what ethnicity's culinary profile do you feel each person ought to experience in their lifetime?

5) With MLB moving the Astros to the AL, it appears we will have interleague play throughout the year. Do you feel this is a positive, negative, or neutral move for the league?

I typically don't look at the stamp, but I do look at the postmark. Is it close to the location of the return address? If not, can I figure out why they would have mailed it from where they did (typically a "mail from work" scenario.) Also, the postmark will occasionally have some witty/interesting comment in it. I feel that I could write a good Hardy Boys leaflet based on this material.

1) If you could be the GM of any professional team, which one would you choose, and what would be your very first action?

2) The Baseball Hall Of Fame voters have a dilemma on their hands. On the one hand, they don't want to put known steroid abusers into the hall of fame, but on the other hand, if they never elect them, we could have a period of baseball which is woefully underrepresented. What is your position on steroid abusers in general, and more specifically, what would you do with a case like Bonds who shattered numerous records and would have likely made the HOF without steroids?

3) What specific rule/ruling would you like to see the NFL adapt from the NCAA? How about the NCAA from the NFL? One foot vs two feet, down by contact vs down by being down, etc/
