Doesn't seem enough to warrant buying this years if you own '12.

If you preorder the game from Gamestop you get 12k in bonus points that you can use for your RTTS player.

Will be picking up my copy on Tuesday.

I'm still in the early stages of year 4 rtts for mlb 11. I can't see a reason to get this at this time.

Well guess pitch was kinda "overpowered." I used it every time, guess FB and low triangle. Unless the pitcher had a 4SFB and a 2SFB you always knew if it was a FB or off speed. I could judge high pitches better than low so I guessed low and didn't have to worry about them unless they were way outside too. Haven't played it yet, but that sounds like a more realistic guess pitch.

So do you HAVE to use the analog swing?

I agree with both of you. The guess pitch was a little too easy but what IMU describes doesnt sound good

I created my guy and headed straight to the RTTS mode. I was drafted to play 2b by Pittsburgh and I'm stuck on their double AA team for at least a little while. I had preordered my game from gamestop so I was able to get 12k in bonus/training points to start my guy off. I also began the season playing on All-Star mode but after the first 20 or so games I changed it as I felt it was too unrealistic as I was hitting a homer almost every third at bad or so. I switched to Hall of Fame(I believe it's the next level up?) and I'm enjoying that level quite a bit more.

Damn, really? Did you focus many of those points on power?

I think my power ratings are about 50 for both lefties and righties...I had 1 HR in AA and 1 HR so far in AAA. Probably 180 AB's total or so.

The problem I have with Hall of Fame and Legend modes is that like 95% pitches seem out of the zone... I sometimes find it boring waiting for a pitch to hit. I don't want all fastballs...but I also don't want each at bat to take minutes. I like progressing through the RTTS relatively quickly. Weeks in a single sitting, if possible.

12k points to start out with is quite a bit. I think right now I'm still in AA ball and I'm about an 81 overall. I don't think anyone of my hitting categories right now is over 65-67 tops really. I would like to think I'm pretty well balanced. I didn't focus anything really at first on my arm because I figured I don't really need that much of an arm from 2nd. I think right now through 40 games or so I have 22 HRS
79 RBI
12 SB
.535 avg

I think that's where I ended the game last night.

I'm done with my first full season. I spent the whole season in AAA/AA ball and I was traded from the Pirates to the Royals midway thru the season. Currently my player is ranked 89 overall and they are trying to offer me a one year contract of $175k. I fell asleep before I signed so I don't know what's gonna happen.
