Punk as the unquestioned greatest champion in forever versus the Legend would be one of the greatest WrestleMania main events in history.

You have to imagine a time without RAW though. Having those kind of matches live every week changed the game. Multiply all the RAW era streaks by 4 to level the playing field.

Cena costs Rock the win at Rumble. Cena puts his career on the line against Rock. Punk v Taker is streak v streak. Taker wins at Mania. The next RAW, Ziggler cashes in, after winning the tag titles. AJ wins the Women's title as well. Stable with almost every title.

The problem is you can't close with Rock v Cena without the title. No matter how much we hate it, it's the biggest draw in the history of pro wrestling. Godfather v Batman Forever? Possible. But they're going with the money option.

I really think you should have had Streak vs Streak this year. I don't care if Taker would have won and dropped the belt the very next night(Maybe have Lesnar come out and destroy him and let Punk win the title back the very next night. Punk gets the belt back and you set up Lesnar vs Taker at WM 30). If you wanted to do Cena vs Rock you can and you find a way to not have it for a title. Nobody in their right fucking mind thinks that Cena isn't going to win WM and get the belt back so the Rock can go do movies again for another year.

Punk even getting a match with taker is punk getting over. Look are takers last few opponents...not needing the belt to get it over. Punk has to make taker look very week on this raw and the match is sold.

Everyone in the world expected Rock to win the belt at the Rumble. It would've been so much better if Punk won.

Cena costs Rock the title. Punk comes out on Raw the next night and declares himself a legend and says he's unbeatable.

Start the Undertaker build to Mania. Maybe Punk has to go through Kane at EC.

Meanwhile Cena comes out and talks about how Rock ruined his life and he hasn't been the same since Mania. He wanted to make Rock feel that way. Rock comes out. Staredown. Lights go out. Shield destroys both guys. Cena and Rock team with Ryback against Shield at EC. Rock-Cena dissention leads to Shield win. Mains build starts next night.
