Yeah, but you have to factor in the somewhat unquantifiable aspect of how his reputation suffers and how that could ultimately affect his long term endorsements. Right now, it seems like a huge reach to say that this would affect future endorsement deals, but Im not sure it's that big of a reach. Dwight Howard was far more marketable in 2009 than he is today, despite being in Orlando at the time and currently being an LA Laker.

Ike once convinced some random board member to drive him Cleveland and back for a "road trip".

My first reaction was "this is a bad idea for Cairo" (or whoever it was). Over the next several days, Ike went over the top to try to close the deal, but ultimately Cairo backed out. I remember thinking "This is where the board and real life should not meet" and was genuinely concerned about Cairo's well-being. Turns out they bagged the trip, but I've always wondered "Does Ike smoke pot or something?".

In any event, I applaud him for being the first guy to lead the charge on this issue.

Yep, last night was the night and he declined. And he has already declared himself out for game 7.
