I have Windows 7 64 Bit and I'm thinking of picking up a USB tuner, so I can watch live TV. Does anyone here have any experience with that or know specific devices that work well?

the hauppauge should be good enough. just remember the usb tuners run hot and never seem to have as good of reception as internal cards do. also, internal cards many times have dual tuners in them, so you can record one show and watch another.

i think a MUCH better route is the homerun HDHR3-us. it will stream ota tv to your computer on your network, so no wires are needed on the client pc. http://www.silicondust.com/products/models/hdhr3-us/

What are you talking about? I do have Windows 64 Bit and I did recently buy a Hauppauge USB device. Although I need a better TV antenna to get a solid signal.

This homerun tuner looks pretty cool. Does it run hot? I did notice the Hauppauge runs a little hot.

The reason why I bought the Hauppauge was to try it out on transferring some video footage. I have an older DVD recorder that I use from time to time. But it gets to be a bit of drag to break out a new disc for every project. Then, you have to finalize it and rip the DVD. I used the Hauppauge with a Dell laptop and that seemed to work okay. The problem with a PCI card is one of my Dells that is running 7 64 Bit is low profile, so a standard card is not going to fit in that one.

look for low profile versions then. even the old ati 650pro's still work great, and many of them are low profile. i have two of them myself.

I still have a problem getting channel 2 clear. I don't know that these TV tuners are that great at recording shows. I'm not that impressed really.

:/ could just be a bad tuner, or one going bad. I record shows all the time, never a problem. I do have a roof antenna though, which helps a LOT.
