The o-line should be different they have 4 new guys on it. That isnt coaching that is a GM finally getting some decent talent. Nothing else struck me as radically different. Same team, different coach.

Slow your roll there, mr threadstarter. Gould did not make a 50+ yard FG until 2007, he attempted 0 of 50+ in 2005, 2006, and 2008, and attempted a grand total of 17 FG kicks of 50+ under Lovie.

As I said, Lovie might not necessarily have opted for that long of a FG regardless of it being near the end of the half.

I think Trestman game planned to score more points than the Bengals, which is exactly what happened. I don't get why it matters if it seemed bland or not. If the Bears can beat a good defense by playing "bland," I suppose things can get only better once they unleash the more creative packages.

Can you picture what a question to an average coach would be about the 46 man roster each week? Tress gave about 60 seconds on it. Most of the time that would have been a 6 word answer if the question was even answered.

It will be interesting to see if this verbose trend remains as the season goes along.

Yesterday before the game I was telling my wife, I said, "Wife, you know this Trestman guy, I'm worried about him. He's too nice a guy. Nice guys finish last. You can't compete on an equal plane with guys who don't feel the need to be nice."

Fuck it, I guess I am wrong...I mean, who else could have told Cutler to go out there in the second half and throw to Brandon Marshall any time he got into trouble. Additionally, those 3 yard runs were as flawlessly designed as I have seen on an NFL field.

So now I've been wrong about Mc Clellin and Trestman, which leads me to wonder what else I might have been wrong about on this board.
