Which is a lock? Seattle? on the road? Pats on road? Chargers at Jax?

The locks arent there anymore (Other than Jax on the road vs a good team which is like 4 or 5 times a year)

Exhibit A, as to why mapping out a survivor pool is a must.

Not a very savvy gambler so correct me if I'm wrong. Would you have had to wager nearly 10 grand to win that 457 last week?

My god, look at all the money you would have had to front thru 9 weeks to win just under $800.

And there are likely bettors out there that would take the small profit because it's more than the bank. That's why you see horses that look like locks pay 2.10 to show when some guy dumps 100K on the horse to show to win 5K. (5% ROI)

It almost happened last week with seattle. If they don't come back you'd be down 800.

but not that bad considering the volume and the absolute lack of preparation that goes into the system

I wouldn't be surprised to see that number get worse as the season enters its final quarter as teams with no shot suddenly pull out stuff like on side kicks and fake punts

Losing money is losing money. It just proves again, that there are no systems for easy money, and you need to do your work, if you want to win. When I first heard about Mac's idea to play the biggest favorite on the board each week, I immediately thought of Philip Seymour Hoffman's character in Owning Mahowny.

I would bet that at least three of the remaining five weeks are losing propositions.
