I only read one paragraph, but this was stupid.
1) McCown escapes as well as Cutler and he keeps his eyes downfield.
2) Cutler has never had a 6-game run with the stats McCown had. He may have had the TD and yardage numbers, but he has never thrown only one pick over a similar period of time.
Do you watch the games or...?
man, fuck you dipshit.... let's see your tactics.
0) go ad hominem, declaring my post "stupid" before anything else because you know most people here love to gang up on me and slagme off, so you know by doing that you'll garner good will which will automatically give you #s. when you're wrong about something the best way to try and combat that is to attack the poster/post-style and devalidate everything he said before you even address it.
1) no he doesn't man.... how often does he escape a collapsing pocket to run for his life and then turn that into a big throw downfield? he can't do it. he doesn't have the pocket awareness that jay has, nor does he have the wheels that jay has... nor does he have the arm that jay has.... he's an inferior physical specimen who needs conditions to be right (pocket holds up / receiver is wide open) to put up these numbers.
2) jay cutler has NEVER had a 6 game run like mccown had? and what was that 6 game run? the 1809yds 13TD 1INT to cutler's 1908yds 13TD/8INT (and that's off the top of my head) --- so interceptions = everything? something like 50-60% of jay's interceptions end up becoming a long punt, so they're not everything. in the end yards and touchdowns and points scored and.... oh what's that other old stat that needs to die called? oh yeah... WINS... those don't count for anything?
mccown played well, which means that mccown played fucking great considering that he's josh mccown. MUH 6 GAME RUN wasn't anything special ****BECAUSE HE WENT 3 AND 3***** i swear to god if mccown had a 6 game winning streak i'd take heed of your arguments..... but when you start saying because he only had 1 INT in 6 games therefore he's superior to cutler and therefore he should be the bears starting QB, even tho he was a .500 quarterback who lost to the vikings and rams?
and to think people who argue ^^^^that^^^^ automatically disregard my entire post because i use fantasy stat #s... but then when they wanna make their secondary point (cuz the first is that i'm a raving lunatic whose posts they don't read cuz i'm stupid) they're quick to quote stats and essentially fantasy/madden football stuff cuz last i checked all that matters are wins and losses.... and jay has been a winning quarterback with the bears leading them to the playoffs more often than not, but because people don't like him all of a sudden winning and losing wasn't important cuz we just witnessed the greatest 6 game run of quarterbacking in bears history all because mccown only threw 1 INT?
how about the ~2-3 INT he should have thrown last week against dallas, do those count?
obviously not. i'm going to stop arguing this cuz i'm just gonna get pissed off and thusly slagged off cuz you lot are stupid Caller Bobs who wouldn't know a real quarterback if you were dan marino's limo driver. the real point here is that you guys don't like jay cutler cuz he's an egotistical douchebag asshole with a punch-me face and therefore you want him out of town ASAP because he broke your little fucking hearts when he came to town and didn't singlehandedly lead you to multiple super bowl victories cuz that's what franchise quarterbacks do, right? well since he hasn't done it and he throws picks cuz he takes chances, clearly we have to get rid of him for a completely pedestrian quarterback who is thriving because he's got a good offensive coach calling sporadically brilliant plays with a great pass-blocking o-line to two #1 WRs.
whatever. fuck off you #McClowns.
