Denver and Seattle seem to have probably the best chances of winning their respective conferences; but who'd be shocked if neither made the superbowl? I sure wouldn't.

A good draft pick is already out. The chances aren't good, but this league has too much parity. It's practically a coin-flip every game. To say any team in the playoffs has no shot is to ignore reality.

Detroit's toughest remaining game is tomorrow night at home. Bears may need to win both remaining games, plus have help.

Every game is practically a coin-flip. Every goddamn game. I won't be the least bit surprised if the Lions lose tomorrow, or in the next couple of weeks. Just look at what our next opponent manged today.

Good thoughts. And just reinforces the fact that Bears have to win this division if for no other reason than to keep the Packers and the Lions out of the playoffs. Could anyone stomach a Lion superbowl or *shudder* another Packer superbowl?

Ugh. Good point. Let's not imagine neither team stands a realistic chance of winning a superbowl. Especially with it being in New Jersey. Even if the AFC team is a huge favorite, the conditions may well make the game an even bigger crap shoot than normal.

I disagree with your conclusion. I do agree that almost every game is a crapshoot, but the real good team usually win and I believe it's a lot less of a crapshoot once you're in the playoffs.


Not to mention that to go to the SuperBowl they'll almost certainly have to beat Seattle in Seattle or SF in SF and I dont see either happening.

But again, we are in the 8-8 era, so maybe Im wrong.
