But you do realize this team sucks? There is 0 on defense, trestman makes odd calls, ST sucks. It has been a completely wasted year I feel like.

This is year 1 with a completely new system and coaching staff. Tresty fixed the offense in less than 1 year and they have a chance to win the division next week. That a pretty good first year in my book. The Bears have exceeded expectations this year.

I was going for positives, trying to build an identity. I don't think bad defense is what they should build on but they are putting up a great foundation if that's what they are going for.

i don't know if we're "McCown" people, but rather "good offense" people. I think you and I both missed that tonight.

Ah, Cutler has been bad too.

But the Eagles D has had their ears pinned back since the Bears 3rd drive.

I know.

I was just being a smart ass.

And scorehead, the bears have a chance to win the division because the division sucks. not because they are a good team.

In a way you could say they've been running in place: last year they were tied for second in points given up, but among the worst in the league on offense. This year they are a top seven or so offense, but the worst defense in the league.

Just a bad game all around. It's not a big deal. Bears will come home and get it done. No chance Rodgers plays.

So? It's not like he never had jobs within the NFL. All I heard for months was Trestman is the qb whistler, so great, good plan, smartest guy in the room. I gotta tell ya I haven't seen it. There were a few games against bad teams/bad ds where the offense way under performed. They exceeded shit.

Was that just a six-play, 70 yard TD drive on all running plays?

I don't think it's a wasted year. The offense has definitely made progress, and that's exactly why this game is so damn confusing. Things have progressively gotten better on offense, and then everything implodes tonight against a nonthreatening defense. A coach is supposed to help his team sustain that level of progress; hasn't happened tonight. I don't care if they put up 50 next week on GB, this game right here was the season. Win and you're in. They blew it.

The last 3-4 years have been wasted years. Anyone that thinks this team will win a title in the next 20 years is fooling themselves.

The Bear don't have to get better. The other teams just have to get a little bit worse.

As long as they keep hiring recycled Bears employees, you are absolutely correct. This organization needs a reset.

I'm not really sure how a Bears fan couldn't be "worried". They have no defense. None.

This is what so many wanted. Get rid of Lovie. Fix the offense. Survive with a mediocre defense. You do not need defense to win in the league these days so many said.

I don't think being worried is the question, it's more about disappointment. Sure, they can win next week and be in, but why not take care of business now? It would have been a great step in the right direction to win now, eliminate the Pack, and then worry about playing or resting for next week. Instead you get this abomination of a game, and an elimination game next week.

We can only hope Jay can put up as many points tonight in garbage time as McCown did in Minnesota.
