i think the let them score is only going to work if its a goaline situation... otherwise the saint RB probably would have just fallen down inside the ten to run clock.
with the ball at the 20 yard-line, i would by trying to hold the line still hope the kicker the saints just signed off the street less than a month ago chokes on a 37 yarder
3-4 times brees did a QB sneak on 3rd and short and got 3 yards, you;d think after the 2nd time the eagles would have been ready for it
OK, maybe, but you dont know if you dont try.
anyone that replies to me with that answer is basically giving up.
Today the theory that SF would have just fallen down is bullshit. Kapernick would have run into the endzone if you let him. OPf course I dont know that, but the result of you tackling him or Gore is almost 98% that they will make the FG inside of the 20 Yard line.
Granted it would be unconventional, the league might even fine everyone involved.
HIKE:
GB D players, stand up and move out of the way.
SF players block...but then Gore falls to the ground?
Here is another twist on that? At what point do the refs blow the whistle?
everyone that tries to explain to me that the coaches go over that stuff with the players, not to kill the clock by running out of bounds might not remember a Bears game in Denver a few years ago, that the Bears win if they just stay in bounds. They didnt? Why not?
