Should've stopped it but didn't it hit the defense mans stick a bit and change direction? Not watching on the HD so it was a bit difficult to see. All in all , entertaining period I thought. Good rushes both ways. Anytime Leddy wants to take the next step to being really good would be ok by me.

Gonna be another 40-minute effort by the looks of it.

Bad hockey thoughts.
One Sedin has a broken jaw - and again - Calgary submitted their lineup first. True the Sedin's don't fight - what do you think the 3 guys that Calgary out there do? They fight. How is that Totorella's fault again?

So you think if Torts puts out his Number 1 line against them, that fight still happens?

Are you blaming the person that reacted or instigated the situation?

Since when does putting your 4th line out there warrant I have to counter with my 4th line? Didn't realize that means an automatic fight has to ensue whenever the 4th line gets put out there. Id put my 1st line out there and skate fucking circles around them and probably put my team up a goal. Then again Im more interested in winning the game than showing what a tough guy I am. You think Quenneville wouldn't counter a 4th line starting the game with Toews / Sharp/ Hossa?

Fuck the Canucks.

So what happened when towes's stick broke and he went to the box but the hawks stayed at full strength?

Why does it matter what line is out there?

Also, didn't they say on the broadcast that Tortorella has been involved in 3 or 4 of these last few years? Its probably everyone else though, not him.

They brought up 2 examples during the 2nd period of the game. In one Torts' Rangers played New Jersey last year and the same shit happened as he saw the 4th line and then brought out his. The other was Tampa vs Boston a few years ago and Boston gooned up and Tampa brought out their 1st line and smoked them early.

Way to get muscled off the puck by a guy 50 lbs lighter than you Seebs and get caught for retaliation.

Ten-minute misconduct penalties in and of themselves don't require playing shorthanded. Often they're called in conjunction with minors, which do.

I was at a bar so didn't hear an explanation or really see how much time he got. Was it for throwing his stick?

Quenneville should try Toews / Kane / Bickell at least once in the last 4 minutes

I'd like you to read your own words. You're blaming Tortorella for putting his 4th line guys out there. After the other team puts theirs out. The logic makes no sense.

Watch the video. Who drops the gloves first? Who grabs the other player in bear hug first? Not the Canucks. Every single thing the Canucks did was in reaction to what Calgary and their coaches did. Every. Single. Thing.

Well, another win that isn't really a win. I guess I'll take it, but man, the point inflation on this team.
