"Decent start by Danks" - halfway through his first start = Danks should win the Cy Young?

How'd you survive as long as you have Walt?

I'm not sure why Cleto is on a major league team. He has one pitch and it doesn't have enough movement to blow guys away.

GOod to see Aoki out of the lineup. They cannot seem to keep that fucker off the basepaths.

Defense fucking up again. Alexei this time.

At least Sale gets out of it. Good pitcher's duel so far.

Is the 1st baseman allowed to block the base? Abreu should've been safe there.

Why didn't dumb ass Ventura review that? You get 1 per game until the 7th. Why not? You're in the 4th. That base runner could be the difference in this game.

Even if you don't get it, it's unlikely you'll need another review in the next 2 innings anyway.

Garcia finally makes a play in right and hurts himself. Or is acting like he's hurt. Starting to think this guy is a pud.

Lead off double by Gillaspie and the inning is over like 6 pitches later. Pretty disappointing.

The official scorer may not assume a double play but I sure as he'll can. That should have been turned.

Except for the worthless call of a sac bunt, that 9th inning was awesome to see. Great outing by Sale.

You know, with the way scoring is down, I don't get quite as furious with the sac bunt as I used to, but your guys have to be able to execute it. Come on! And doing it with two guys on seems dumb. I'd rather take my chances with three guys trying to get a hit to bring in that run rather than making an out on purpose just to hope the next guy might hit a deep fly. It's silly.

Especially considering Gillaspie already hit two doubles on the day.

Games like this are where I see your point of view more easily in regards to pitchers. Shields didn't pitch poorly, but in no way can you say he pitched good enough to win. Both pitchers knew exactly how the game was unfolding and how little their margin for error was.

Totally agree. I'm against sacrifice bunts for the most part. But I can see it in certain situations.

But NEVER with men on 1st and 2nd, like you said JORR. That's just dumb.
