They're about equal

He's going to win a SB. I'll say that is significantly better. I believe he could even be MVP. Everything has come together for him and the Bears.

I think Dalton has been better than Cutler the past 2 years. I may be putting durability into that equation too and team success.

Dalton receives a signing bonus of $12 million and a roster bonus in three days of $5 million. That's a total of $17 million out of the gates. Coupled with his $986,000 base salary (which isn't guaranteed as a legal matter but it is as a practical matter), Dalton will make $18 million in the first year of the deal.

Then, on the third day of the 2015 league year in March, Dalton earns a $4 million roster bonus. He also has a $3 million non-guaranteed base salary in 2015. That's $25 million over two years.

Three years, $35.7 million
Four years, $49 million.
Five years, $62.9 million.
Six years, $79.1 million.
Seven years, $96.8 million.




so unless he is absolutely miserable this year it makes sense to keep him for $8M next year.... but after year 2 he could easily be cut. very team friendly as far as QB's go.... no where near Jay's $56M guarenteed

He would have to be Ryan Leaf awful in order for this to be anything less than a 2 year deal.

Cutler n Daulton are real similar ...Daulton is slightly better but much younger.
But if Cincy wants to dump him in2 years they can ..17 million is guaranteed
