I'd say it's a real solid bet that it will never reach Hamp/Holmes status.

They should of hired Jeremy Roenick. Chicago guy, replaces Mac on hockey, and seems to enjoy all sports. And most importantly, entertaining and fun!

Exactly. That means there will be at least 5+ months where the Bears or the NFL should be a central part of the discussion. This will allow him to get more experience as a sports talk show host while the discussion centers around a team and sport he knows the best. This experience should aid in the transition during the football offseason when the discussion then increasingly turns to basketball/hockey etc., even though Mannelly sounds better versed in the other sports than one might think.
