I actually never said McCown was a better quarterback so once again you're just reaching there. I've said that Josh ran the offense better than Jay. He put up better numbers than Jay. He didn't turn the ball over like Jay did at about a $13 million dollar difference as well. But hey McCown almost had a turnover in the St Louis game. Almost.

Josh McCown was 3-2 last year and 4-3 for his career with the Bears.

That's the biggest indictment of Cutler. A career not very good journeyman who doesn't have Jays big arm and skill set outplayed him running the same offense with the same players.

Well, they likely wouldn't be 7-9 because the QB threw for 4200 yards and 38 TDs.

So, I'm sure I would be unsatisfied with the performance of the special teams, run game, and defensive pressure and safety play as I am now.

He's started 104 of 117 games since 2007.

Agreed. If you take out the special teams giving up 7 points (they shouldn't have been punting anyway if Cutler did his job), the D held Cam Newton and his weapons to 24.

If Cutler completed that one pass to Bennett on 3rd down, they should have gone up 28-7. Game over.

The defense has also given Cutler a lot of short fields because of turnovers. I only say this to point out that it all balances out. Cutler likely doesn't have a 4 touchdown game against San Fran without the defense serving up what they did for him.

That's why Cutler will never be great. It's always "if Jay had time to throw " or " if Jay had good receivers to throw to" . Great ones make those throws and complete those passes or don't spit the bit with a stupid pick at the worst times. He shows no signs of ever being able to to do those things over an extended period but MY GOD look at his arm!!!!

Agreed.

Cutler has probably gotten the best field position in the NFL.

I'm not going to look it up but I'm sure I'm right. Certainly if you eliminate special teams and penalties.
