I've been on this bandwagon since the end of this season. Allen would be a great addition of the bench for this team, and is still in fantastic shape.
Quote:
Bulls reach out to Ray Allen's reps

The Chicago Bulls have touched base with the representatives of veteran shooting guard Ray Allen, a league source confirmed Monday.

The Bulls are the latest team to express interest in veteran shooting guard Ray Allen.
The Bulls are one of several teams interested in Allen. The Bulls have had an active offseason, adding free agents Pau Gasol and Aaron Brooks, rookie Doug McDermott and European star Nikola Mirotic. On paper, they have one of the deepest teams in the league and fully expect to contend for a championship behind Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah -- a fact they'll surely sell to Allen's reps.

Another key selling point for the Bulls is Allen's relationship with coach Tom Thibodeau. Allen won a championship with the Boston Celtics in 2008 while Thibodeau was an assistant on Doc Rivers' staff.

Allen would give the Bulls another long-range shooter to go along with McDermott and veteran Mike Dunleavy. News of the Bulls' interest was earlier reported on the team's website.

So he is not going to Cleveland now? Unlikely

The Chicago Bulls are apparently intrigued of the possibility of acquiring Kevin Martin from the Minnesota Timberwolves after all. The trade rumor involving the Bulls and T-Wolves are reportedly gaining steam, per report by ESPN.
ESPN Insider Nick Borges reported of a trade proposal that would send veteran shooting guard Kevin Martin to the Bulls in exchange for the expiring contract of Mike Dunleavy, Tony Snell and a second-round draft pick.

This would be a smart move.

Mike Dunlevey is hot garbage, and I'm not sold on Snell. Martin's contract length is a little scary though, but not overly expensive.

Bulls also signed E'twaun Moore yesterday. Rick just hopped on the Bulls bandwagon for this season.

Yup. Finally, a reason to watch the Bulls.

Haven't been a big fan of Martin's over the years but the Bulls need a guy that can score and he provides that for you. He is a little old though (32) i believe. I would go for that because he does fill a need. Snell looked good in the Vegas league but its just that Vegas don't know how it will translate. The only thing that I would be worried about is Thibodeau. Martin is not his type of player either. Martin is an all offense no defense guy and Thibs would rather concede offense for defense if given the choice. I hope he doesnt sit the guy for defensive purposes if the Bulls acquire him. The league is trending more towards offense these days. There are not a lot games being played in the upper 70's low 80's anymore.

The Bulls should definitely pursue him if they can't get Melo.

I would honestly go after him now. I'm not buying the talk about the Bulls being one of the teams Melo is still considering. They should give Stephenson his $40M for 4 years. It may not be as sexy as a Melo signing but it has the potential to be just as effective.

Here we go.

You got me there. I knew you would discover that I wanted the Bulls to sign Stephenson once they couldn't sign Marshmelo.

Besides the game where Lebron was in foul trouble, did Lance really play great defense on the perimeter players for the Heat?

Yes. He was the only Pacers player that competed. He was an idiot but he gave maximum effort every game. I believe what he did carried over to the Spurs series. Wade no longer had the lift and unfortunately for Stephenson challenging Wades knees didn't help the Pacers.

What exactly did he do to cost Miami the series again?

You wanted him after Anthony. I'm not going to jam you on that. You ma not have touted him as a primary scorer but you def. Had him as a #2 guy. I will continue to find instances of the Lance love. It was def. running wild and I addressed it then so this isn't Monday morning qbing. He was vastly overrated.

Marshmelo was the clear favorite but Stephenson filled a need. He was young and could create his own shot. The Bulls still don't have another guy that can do that. You need to have more than 1 guy that can create his own shot to win in the playoffs unless your only guy is the 2nd best shooting guard of all time.

I would go after Stephenson but apparently the entire league thinks that he is toxic.

He will end up in Charlotte

That will be great for them.
This really is too easy

Please don't try to change what you said.

You championed him as the next great thing. When you guys get called on your off based opinions you always deflect. 10 points a game for a guy you marketed as a go to guy.

I am shocked you found a post of me praising a team that signed a player I wanted the Bulls to sign. That's impressive work.

The spin move you're attempting now is really impressive. It's a rhetorical sleight of hand.

Dallas overpaid for the guy anyway. He makes about what Rudy Gay makes but you hate Rudy Gay. Rudy Gay is a much better player than Chandler Parsons. So is Carmelo Anthony. Parsons is OK but he isn't worth the bread injury or not. Slightly better Mike Dunleavy. Do you love him too?

Well, Chandler Parsons is a much better shooter, and you seem to love shooters. Parsons has a better career FG% and 3P%.

So WYC?

Don't know if these numbers necessarily constitute "much better shooter".

James Harden disagrees. You think he would ever utter these words about Carmelo Anthony or even Rudy Gay?
