Have you ever once heard Beane say Lewis got it wrong and give credit to his scouts for landing the pitchers that were barely mentioned in the book?
Reading the book you understand it is practically a love letter to Beane. He describes him in an almost sexual way and that swooning schoolgirl theme continues throughout the book.
