Final game, Dec 28 v Vikes.

No reason that on Monday, December 29, 2014 the CEO of the Chicago Bears doesnt have a press conference and explain they have let the entire coaching staff go at the very least.

I think Emery should go, but I can see why McCaskey would keep him, so the weird guys can hang out.

And of course the classic "The search for a new coach will begin immediately!!!!" (Said with emphasis to make sure we know they are serious about finding a coach!)

I'd be reluctant to give up picks for him. If the 49ers fire him, then great. You have to figure he is gone in 5 years and most likely less with Bears management. Teddy would shit his pants having that as a head coach and trying insinuate himself into football business.

Harbaugh is the only real logical choice. It will never happen but it's the right way to go. The guy's act may wear thin but he would make the Bears respectable again.

I can't wait to see how the McCaskey's fuck this whole thing up.

he would keep cutler for a year and try it, but Cutler might actually cry.

It would be so enjoyable to see a Bears head coach unload on Cutler.

I have a feeling that maybe just maybe the McCaskeys have heard and learned that they need an experienced football guy running the show. I think this time might be different.

No doubt they know something has to be done, but does the whole staff finally go? Seems easy enough, YES

Does Emery go? If not, do you hire someone over him.

No way the Mccaskeys do that...

Then, everyone forgets about the numerous people that dont want to work for the Mccaskeys. Outside of Al Davis, not a team that more people have had issues with working for them.

First of all, it would be a 5 year deal at 6 million per year to get Haurbaugh.

George McCaskey:

Beardown: Yeah, buddy. That's the price of getting a good one.

Secondly, if you get him, he's the head coach and he gets to hire a Pro personal guy of whom he is the boss. That's the way you have to do it.

Harbaugh can't play nice with a boss. So you make him the boss.

Biggie hit it right on the head with this quote. This was big part of Buffone's rant last week on M&H.

Yeah that's what I meant. I got a feeling that Trestman stays but Kromer/Tucker/DeCamillis are gone.

wait until all these guys are gone and the stories really start coming out.

Hope Trestman kept his house in Montreal! Nobody cares about him up there.

No shit. Mannelly mentioned this today. He said if these stories are getting out now with the coaches in place, wait until someone gets fired. Then it will all come out.

Don't you get the feeling that Trestman wants to get fired? He wants to be put out of his misery. He has realized that he's in over his head. He doesn't want to quit. Cuz that would make him look bad. But he wants out badly. No doubt in my mind.

Why would he come here? He can pick any team. The team's a mess. Stuck with Cutler. Lame duck GM. Bad ownership. Think his time as a pariah in Chicago warms his heart?

I think he has just accepted losing and going to do shitty press conferences. Just like Jay. Its part of the job, they get paid a ton to do this, so they go and do it. They do the minimum, say nothing and collect a check on the way out.

Some people look like a "Meatball". He's one of them. Now, just because you look like a meatball, doesn't mean you are one. Not in his case, though.

Some people look smart and are dumb. Marc Trestman for example.

Trestman isnt dumb. the guy is a lawyer and he traded bonds, thats not a bad combination, but none of that makes him a good football coach. This is like writers that sportsradio guys put on the air. Maybe they have some good info, but once the info is conveyed, they suck at entertaining,

Being a coach is about mindfucking your players. You need to be in their heads, making them think what you think is the most important thing is true. Yes, preparation is needed, planning, practice...it all needs to be done, but if players on a team see you are weak and one guy walks all over you, thats it.

This goes for business too. Its why many guys take over jobs as hardasses. You can always eventually be nice to someone, but if you just walk in being nice guy, someone will walk all over you then its over quickly as the boss. Trestman walked in as Mr nice guy from day 1...and thus had nowhere to go.
