There are very few good options here.

But, I'd rather take Cutler & some coach vs. Clausen-type & Trestman.

Up to me, I want them all gone and throw Emery in the trunk while you're leaving. But, I'm trying to be realistic. The best hope for the Bears future is to get Trestman out of town first. This team is a mess.

Cutler isn't helping anything and he's been awful pretty much all year long. Cutler sucks.

Problems
1 Cutler
1a Emery and Trestman

Since Emery and Trestman gave him the money, I would think they would be the biggest problem.

Those are covered under 1a

Agreed.

If one comes back I would rather Cutler.

Trestman HAS to go.

Both should go tho.

Cutler isn't even the biggest issue when it comes to players. Marshall is #1 by far.

Marshall is actually good at what he does.

That makes no sense. You have to realize that, right?
A single bad player is ranked #1 problem by himself, all the other bad players are covered under 1a?

I think we understand your perspective on this. It's not level-headed or realistic, but it is clear.

How do you lead the league in turnovers, when over half your plays are check-downs and screen passes? Stop with the excuses for Jay. Yes, Trestman sucks as a head coach, but this is not Jay's first or second coach. He has had plenty of chances to find synergy with a coach, yet here we are making excuses for Jay and why he just needs P after A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, has not worked.

Cutler has been bad for years. Part of the problem has been coaching. He hasn't had a good offensive coach in 5 of the 6 years he's been here.

No, Cutler is by far the biggest issue with the players. He is the most important offensive player on the team. When your team doesn't believe in your QB, you are not going to win. You can win with guys like Marshall. WR are all pretty much attention whores, but you can't win with guys like Cutler. Can't do it!

 The guy who is still arguing FOR Jay Cutler is telling me I'm not realistic.

Cutler is a problem no matter who coaches. That's the point. They had a good (great) coach who couldnt win with Cutler.

You could replace Trestman with Bill Walsh in his prime and Cutler would be the same guy. I cant that for sure one way or the other about the rest of the team.

You're dug in on the Cutler thing. He's awful. That doesnt mean anything in regards to the rest of the team (as is frequently your argument).

Jay Cutler, by himself is not a good QB. It's that simple. The defense and special teams being bad doesnt make Cutler better.

Marshall has sucked for most of the season and he's a fucking cancer in the locker room.

What does arguing "for" Jay Cutler mean? Do you know?

My stance has always been the same: he's not the biggest problem on this team. He's not 2nd. Or 3rd.
Let's fix those first. Neither Cutler nor Clausen will make the defense or special teams better.

BTW - Jurko said this morning that Kyle Long was benched also, not injured at the last second.

Great QB's make their offensive coaches good. Very few offensive coaches can alter a career of a QB, like what you are describing. You think Brady, Manning and Rodgers would have sucked under the same coaches the Bears have had since Lovie was hired?

He's good enough. The defense and special teams are not good enough.

What do the defenses and special teams have to do to show you that they suck?

Jay Cutler being here does not stop them from fixing anything. In fact, it can certainly hurt them getting a new coach and if he is on the team next year, it screws them over for the year after too.

Was Cutler not a pro bowler? And clausen still hasn't played as well no matter what you keep trying to say.
The last two drives killed the chance the defense gave them to win.

Yes, Im aware of you opinion.

Cutler has played far worse than Clausen did yesterday on MANY occassions (see any of his 3+ interception games for reference.)

He's being paid like one.

If Cutler is worth $18m/yr, what is Rodgers worth, relatively speaking -- $50m?

If Cutler goes 2 TD, 1 INT, 180 yards, and a 77 rating on Sunday, some of you guys better be praising him like you were Claussen.
