Assuming the Bears beat the Vikings in the finale, they will go 6-10 on the year, only two games worse than last year's 8-8. As much as everyone has said Trestman sucks and is over his head, the Bears lost a lot of guys this year due to injury, when their offensive line was intact all last year. When the Bears won the Superbowl in '85, I don't remember them having any injuries at all, except McMahon during the regular season.
Here's a list of the guys who are ending hurt or missed at least two games during the season
Offense: Slausen G, Mills T, Long G, Bennett TE, Marshal WR, Wilson WR
Defense: D.J. Moore LB, Allen DE, Tilman CB, Briggs LB, Conte, S, Fuller CB, Houston DE, McClellin LB,
When you lose more than half your starters, no shit that you're going to be worse than the previous year. I think we have made this all too complicated, blaming this guy or that guy. The Bears won when they were healthy at the beginning of the year and should have gotten two more wins against BUF and MIA, but could not compensate for injuries because of no depth from the middle of the season on. When you have this many guys that went down, it's unfair to put it all on coaching.
I think DJ Jazzy Jeff is suspect...
DJ Moore??? You mean DJ Williams, right. Are you sure? Did Mary Tyler Moore or DJ Jazzy Jeff cost the Bears wins too. The coaching and gameplan are not NFL quality!!!!
The Arizona Cardinals have more injuries and 11 wins, going to the playoffs.
