Put the bong down. No clue what Teddy makes but there is no player salary on the Bears that will even come close to cover the fees of the caliber that you are suggesting. I think it's safe to assume that the don't pay him more than they pay cutler or Briggs.

Teddy is $3 to $5 Mill a year, he makes more than Briggs did last year.

Getting back to my point. Teddy is worth 20 million because of the Chicago Bears, at least. He owes his great life to the Bears. No way he breaks bad on them with "dead body" stories if they fire him. He's near 60 anyway. So that narrative is wrong.

This goes back to what I've been saying about the McCaskeys perception of "success". They say winning championships, but that's what they're supposed to say. Under Teddy, they've gotten their stadium done and value of the franchise has increased exponentially. In their world, that's success, which is why they love him. I'm sure there are skeletons, but every owner probably has them. They are happy with Teddy because FOR THEM he's been successful where Michael failed miserably.
