If they think they have a chance, they better already be out there.

Apparently Michigan is already out there.

Only way you trump Michigan's offer is full GM control and starting salary of 10m/year.

Jeeze, some of you are pretty clueless.

Trestman makes about 3.5 million. Gotta figure Emery makes 2 or 3 million.

Yet you really believe that the President of the Chicago Bears doesn't even make 1 million?

I'll bet he's getting 4 or 5 million.

I'd bet my favorite nut that Ted Phillips isn't making over $4 million/year.

Vice President: $180,000-$400,000 Salary

Sports Business Daily gives an overall view of what a VP within an NFL organization is likely to make, starting at a median of around $230,000. At this level of seniority, the business operates just like most other businesses.

The VPs over the divisions or service lines that generate revenue are paid more than those who oversee support services. VPs over departments such as ticket sales, marketing, business development and corporate partnerships make more money than VPs who oversee groups like maintenance, environmental services, facilities or equipment.

Highly sought-after VPs in scouting are generally paid the most. VP of player personnel, or a similar title, is the most common stepping stone to a general manager appointment. Most GM titles actually come with an "executive VP" classification.

Now Rozner is using this line. Probably cuz he heard it from Pompei or Hub. They probably heard it from somebody else. But it means nothing and it's not true. Not why he will never get fired.

They consider him family. Ok. That's the answer. Let's all move on from thinking there are bodies buried.

Spread the word. Thank you.

I was wrong. Shocked it's this low.

Although Ted's official title is President and CEO. Not VP. But I'll grant you it wouldn't be more than 1 million if that's what the VP gets.

Put the bong down. No clue what Teddy makes but there is no player salary on the Bears that will even come close to cover the fees of the caliber that you are suggesting. I think it's safe to assume that the don't pay him more than they pay cutler or Briggs.

Ok, Doc, I'm now declaring victory on this one.

Doc: Why, you son of a bitch?

Because if Ernie Accorsi got 300k for 11 days of employment for simply giving a list of GM canidates, of which everybody knew anyway, then Teddy is making 5 million a year. So I win.

Teddy is $3 to $5 Mill a year, he makes more than Briggs did last year.

The Bears systems which have been updated in the past 5 years are still low end.

Wooo hooo!!! Big Fan agrees with me. Now I officially win. Doc loses.

Getting back to my point. Teddy is worth 20 million because of the Chicago Bears, at least. He owes his great life to the Bears. No way he breaks bad on them with "dead body" stories if they fire him. He's near 60 anyway. So that narrative is wrong.

He's there cuz they consider him a brother.

This goes back to what I've been saying about the McCaskeys perception of "success". They say winning championships, but that's what they're supposed to say. Under Teddy, they've gotten their stadium done and value of the franchise has increased exponentially. In their world, that's success, which is why they love him. I'm sure there are skeletons, but every owner probably has them. They are happy with Teddy because FOR THEM he's been successful where Michael failed miserably.
