No matter who he drafts,I say yes!

(NFL.COM)

7. Chicago Bears
2014 record: 5-11 (.529)
Top three needs: Pass rusher, LB, DB
Analysis: The Bears spent so much money on offense in free agency that their defense was mostly ignored, and now it's showing. They became the first team since 1923 to give up 50-plus points in consecutive games. The problem is, the defensive depth chart is full of good, but not outstanding, players, and that rears its ugly head against talent-rich offensive teams like Green Bay. The free agency swap of Julius Peppers for Jared Allen has been a downgrade, and LB Lance Briggs is nearing retirement. I'm not sure the Bears don't need a quarterback, too. It will be interesting to see what they do with Jay Cutler in the offseason.
Top-rated seniors at positional needs: Pass rusher: Vic Beasley (Clemson), Alvin Dupree (Kentucky), Owamagbe Odighizuwa (UCLA); LB: Jake Ryan (Michigan), Eric Kendricks (UCLA), Denzel Perryman (Miami); CB: Ifo Ekpre-Olomu (Oregon), Kevin Johnson (Wake Forest), Byron Jones (UConn); S: Derron Smith (Fresno State), Kurtis Drummond (Michigan State)

The Bears MUST find a safety that can play in pass coverage.

A Mike LB with ball reading skills is a MUST too.

Let's HOPE he knows what he's doing and he makes a good pick.

Who gives a shit if it gets booed on draft day as long as he can play on game day.

All I want the Bears to do in the draft is go chalk...just pick the best player available. Don't try to outsmart the rest of the league. Last year C.J. Mosley was available & Emery picked Fuller. I damn near threw something at my TV. Mosley was the obvious choice & made the pro bowl in his rookie year with the Ravens.
Enough with the stupid reaches in the first few rounds & drafting guys too early. Go chalk in every round.

I think he mentioned that during the presser. He talked about drafting a guy out of need and not taking the best available player. Big mistake.

Fuller was anything but a reach.

And I'm not sure that a year with Mel T. would have done anything for Moseley's career path.

Unless I am confused what you are saying he said the opposite. He said you use free agency needs so that you can take best available.

Come on give him a break. Teddy only had a half day or so to prep him...

I think they have to go veteran with that safety. You need someone you know can play from Day 1 and Vereen is there for development

I'll defer to your draft expertise.

They need at least one impact defensive player.

And I for one do not see the NFC North as being out of reach either. Unless the cap constraints are too tall to overcome.

The Lions and Vikings strike no fear in me.

A better scheme defensively could make a difference with Rodgers too.

They have the weapons in house right now to compete offensively.

Losing Marshall is the wrong move. I expect a first year GM wanting wins early in his career will realize this.

I agree.

And he is easily kept under the guise that Trestman had lost total control of the locker room. Because he had.

No one had Kyle Fuller ranked as high as the Bears did.

He was rated by some as an early to mid 1st round pick.

Projected Round: 1 Stock: High: Early-Mid 1st Low: Late 1st

Which is exactly where he went.

I doubt that the Bears want to take on another large QB contract, especially for a high risk pick.

I dont think he raped that girl. I think the cops did a shitty job investigating it, and that's where the real controversy should be directed, but that Jameis is the black guy to get burnt down for the incompetency of broken institutions (that's tradition in this here country). He's a goof, kinda dumb, but rape doesn't fit in with all the other shit he's done.

Maybe I'm wrong, I dont know. I do know he's ludicrously talented, just as good as Andrew Luck on the field.

NFL draft picks are slotted, the money doesn't matter anymore.

That entire article concerned the investigation.

Scorehead has a better chance of being drafted by the Bears than Jameis Winston does.

Wait, they covered up the investigation? I think you meant they covered up the rape.

What I think happened is she reported something, they had serious doubts that were probably founded, and just threw away the case without doing the bare minimum expected when these accusations happen. The cops shouldn't be doing that, they dont get to pick what to investigate or what not to investigate.

Luckily there's a black guy for everyone to hate instead of the cops.

Most people had Fuller ranked as a late first round pick & ranked around #5 for Cornerbacks. C.J. Mosley was ranked #9 overall & the #1 LB in the draft. Based on their performance in their rookie season, I will stand by C.J. Mosley. He was the best player available.
When the #9 ranked player overall falls to #14, you pick him...you do not reach down to pick the #32 ranked player.

No one had Fuller ranked higher than Mosley.

Gotta love guys defending Phil Emery draft picks.

I believe that he was referring to the drafting of Jonathan Sullivan by the Saints in 2003.
