Analysis: The Bears spent so much money on offense in free agency that their defense was mostly ignored, and now it's showing. They became the first team since 1923 to give up 50-plus points in consecutive games. The problem is, the defensive depth chart is full of good, but not outstanding, players, and that rears its ugly head against talent-rich offensive teams like Green Bay. The free agency swap of Julius Peppers for Jared Allen has been a downgrade, and LB Lance Briggs is nearing retirement. I'm not sure the Bears don't need a quarterback, too. It will be interesting to see what they do with Jay Cutler in the offseason.

All I want the Bears to do in the draft is go chalk...just pick the best player available. Don't try to outsmart the rest of the league. Last year C.J. Mosley was available & Emery picked Fuller. I damn near threw something at my TV. Mosley was the obvious choice & made the pro bowl in his rookie year with the Ravens.
Enough with the stupid reaches in the first few rounds & drafting guys too early. Go chalk in every round.

I think he mentioned that during the presser. He talked about drafting a guy out of need and not taking the best available player. Big mistake.

Fuller was anything but a reach.

And I'm not sure that a year with Mel T. would have done anything for Moseley's career path.

They need at least one impact defensive player.

And I for one do not see the NFC North as being out of reach either. Unless the cap constraints are too tall to overcome.

The Lions and Vikings strike no fear in me.

A better scheme defensively could make a difference with Rodgers too.

I dont think he raped that girl. I think the cops did a shitty job investigating it, and that's where the real controversy should be directed, but that Jameis is the black guy to get burnt down for the incompetency of broken institutions (that's tradition in this here country). He's a goof, kinda dumb, but rape doesn't fit in with all the other shit he's done.

Wait, they covered up the investigation? I think you meant they covered up the rape.

What I think happened is she reported something, they had serious doubts that were probably founded, and just threw away the case without doing the bare minimum expected when these accusations happen. The cops shouldn't be doing that, they dont get to pick what to investigate or what not to investigate.

Luckily there's a black guy for everyone to hate instead of the cops.

Most people had Fuller ranked as a late first round pick & ranked around #5 for Cornerbacks. C.J. Mosley was ranked #9 overall & the #1 LB in the draft. Based on their performance in their rookie season, I will stand by C.J. Mosley. He was the best player available.
When the #9 ranked player overall falls to #14, you pick him...you do not reach down to pick the #32 ranked player.

No one had Fuller ranked higher than Mosley.

Gotta love guys defending Phil Emery draft picks.
