Grimace was being overly sensitive. But the dude seems like he has some real personal demons related to his weight.

They should just scrap the segment. I thought the original reason for transition was for McNeil and Boers to connect. The segment has run it's course.

  I don't think so. Boers never said anything and Mac couldn't wait to jump in his Lexus.

That's what the idea was, it just never worked out that way. It just ended up being Spiegel trying to disagree with Dan or trying to agree with him only to get it's-not-even-thatted for his troubles. I agree, cut the segment, and cut B&B back down to four hours.

They were scrapped and then reintroduced when Mac & Spiegs started. Transition was initially somewhat successful b/c all 4 would reminisce about the "old days". So M&H had one for like a week with M&S but then Mac said something that pissed Mully off.

Once the "good old days" stuff was done the segment sucked b/c Terry & Dan obviously hadn't continued their relationship over the 10+ years they were apart. Add that neither really wanted to work and you end up with Spiegs and Bernstein slap fighting.

But they brought it back as part of his return. No one was doing transition in the North/M&H/Murph/B&B/whoever lineup, nor the M&H/Hamp&Leery/Murph/B&B/whoever lineup. Probably because they were all a bunch of catty bitches who couldn't TALK ABOUT SPORTS with each other without getting their feelings hurt.

That's correct. M&H never tranny'd with B&B I don't think. M&H did tranny with Murph until Murph threw a shit fit.

Terry must have no mirrors in his house.

Dan doesn't have much room to make fun of anyone else but at least he falls within the low normal range. Terry is and always has been a gargoyle. He looks like he is a guy wearing an ugly mask...and he has had plenty of weight problems in his life.

Why hasn't Dan figured out teams can block guys from interviewing unless it is for head coach? THERE IS NO LOOP HOLE.

M&H had one with Murph before Mac's return. Murph asked Mully a question about the Bears and Mully told Murph he should get a press pass, go to the locker room after the game and find out for himself.

Murph responded by angrily shouting "Why don't you do YOUR job!" several times. Mully tried to change the subject and ask Murph what he had for lunch (Murph was at a restaurant remote) and Murph gave us the classic "I don't have time to eat lunch". Transition seems to result in a lot of butthurt hosts.

I loved transition back in the day (Monsters and Heavy Fuel) because everyone would hit on the big news items of the day rapid fire and joke around. But Bernstein is unwilling and possibly unable (he might be on the spectrum) of having a pleasant conversation with anyone, even when things are humming along for a while he hijacks it with his talking points.

Bernstein is psychotic. Terry is the most normal one on the station

Dan's not psychotic. He just has the rudeness of a person who's learned he won't suffer the consequences of being rude.

Yes. If Rocky Dennis had lived to his mid-60s I think he'd look a lot like Terry.

He could have played the role of Beauty and the Beast without makeup.

Maybe pychotic is the wrong word or it doesnt describe it perfectly but he has some demons and some very icky type thoughts that I would put in the pyschotic camp.

in transition, I thought Bernsie was saying it was possible that the footballs were deflating due to cold. Now he's stating the opposite. He must have read up after the break.

Yeah, the temps only deflated New England's balls. Must have been much colder/warmer on their side of the field.

I assume you mean "low" as in low to the ground. I was surprised how bad Terry's face looks now, age caught up fast. I know he was never a beauty, but his face looks like flabby Death now.

I'm not saying he's anything special, but I'd take the tall, fat ginger over short, weird-faced creep. If I had to choose, I mean ... ya know. Not Terry now though.

Not sure when this was taken, but not terrible:

Does anyone see Mannelly and Bernstein working together? Mannelly claims he likes Berns. I catch Mannelly wanting to be goofy and Spiegel just wanting to move on. I know Bernsy isn't as goofy as he once was, but he does have more of a funny side than Spiegel.

Bernstein looks like he has dwarfism in that picture...like the in the dream scene of Twin Peaks speaking backwards while snapping his fingers. His upper body is normal sized and placed on tiny little legs with a head twice as big as normal.
