Mike,
You should be calling the MJH show.
You could be a candidate for the Jurko team.

After reading this thread I must reconisider my self image. I am positively average.

I went on a 3.5 mile run around the neighborhood yesterday. I got home to the sound of yelling about the taking that time away from other obligations being a selfish move. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Look at it from her perspective.
The healthier you are, the longer you live, the longer she has to wait for the life insurance windfall. Can't blame the woman for planning.

I have my 2 1/2 hours of playing football every Sunday morning and get the same look/attitude upon leaving and arriving home each week.

Mac made it sound like he wants Jurko to team up with a Tiny clone and Tiny with a Jurko type.

Oh Jeebus...I would LOVE for Mr. Homer to get a hobby and give me some alone time. He leaves for work after me, he gets home before me...I'm never there without him. He's an OCD cleaner, and I'm constantly being cleaned around, my beer is always being moved to a coaster, the section of the newspaper I'm reading hits the recycling bin before I'm even finished...The best part of my week is leaving the house on Monday morning.

Actually it's quite the opposite. I'm actually home with the kids more than her (She works three days a week and I'm an infrequent freelancer currently searching for a job where I don't have to call 60+ people every day).

It's more that I'm a Godless heathen for playing football on Sunday morning and she has to take both kids to church by herself.

6"1' 1/2
182 lbs
All man
Body fat percentage: 11%

How about a race: one pound gained for every four pounds lost, with body fat percentage remaining the same or lowering. I'd like to get to 195. I will be taking creatine.

That's a goal that will take you through the duration of law school. That amount of beef can't be added over the course of the winter.

Lots of eggs & poultry, my friend.

Yeah, I kinda know that. It took me three years of consistent weightlifting to go from 118 (my cross-country days) to 150. I'm 152 now, but that's not a super lean 152. On the bright side, I don't have a job, so I might have more time to dedicate to the activity. 165 might be optimistic.

Good luck. For pure muscle building, I recommend the 5x5 workout that you can find here: http://www.geocities.com/elitemadcow1/table_of_contents_thread.htm

It might look 'easy' but if you calculate your maxes properly, it becomes a very difficult program to sustain long term, but you will see some good gains over the first 12-18 weeks.
