These threads blow this season because it always ends up being a Toews argument. No one ever has called Toews the best player in the NHL. He is definitley one of the best though. He's having a down year offensively but the only year he finished as a PPG player is the shortened season. Also, no one scores in this league anymore. Go look at the leaderboards.

Everyone shut the fuck up before I kick all of you in the nuts.

There was a rash of "is Toews, not Crosby, the best player?" pieces after the 2013 Cup win. To be fair, it did kind of feel that way for a while. Not now.

I don't think I've ever seen a two-minute penalty taken back. I've seen plenty of cases where they've called it and then realized they called it on the wrong guy, but I've never seen the refs rescind a penalty altogether. Oh well, that's what happens with Crosby, I guess.

Evenly matched game so far, maybe a slight edge to Pittsburgh. This is why you need to win your Phoenix/Vancouver games, so that you don't have to stare down Crosby and Malkin in a must-win game.

Total Bullsnit....maybe they should have looked at Kaner getting slashed and crosschecked...I think they opened a can of worms here!

Its the same old question but it still stands. In an open draft of NHL forwards he's go no lower than 5. Ill take that on my team despite his lack of goals scored this year. Fucking Crosby only has 19 goals, he must suck too.

Crosby, Malkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tavares, arguably Seguin if not now then soon.

EDIT: wait, you're saying forwards, not centers? Tons of wingers would go ahead of Toews.

Not unlikely that Seguin matures into a two-way player as Toews continues his decline.

Did you see Toews in the shootout today?

Mercy!

Scorehead, apparently GM's do. You see the folks here backtracking already. They're learning. Look at early season game threads for the argument.

It's obvious Toews is not the impact player many claim. Kane has been much more noticeable this season.

Toews may not be scoring, but he does impact most games with the rest of his skill set. I love watching him play.

I enjoyed the game immensely and saw Toews do quite a lot. Hossa still sharp. Until the shoot out I actually was thinking where are Kane and Crosby in this game.

Yup. Many casual fans don't see beyond scoring goals. Kinda like the casual football fan who only watches the QB, RB & WR's.
The opposite of Toews is Ovechkin. I would rather have Toews...he does more for your team.

CH is doing that thing Nas does where you can't tell if he's serious or trolling anymore.

He is nothing like Nas. Nas is doing a bit most times and is at least funny.

CH is serious I am afraid.
