Don't remember the details, but he told a funny story about getting caught in a ladies' restroom he had mistakenly ventured into in an emergency.

Yes, take this as a shot at the Chicago Bears, but they do so little to remember the history and the players for this team. Doug alone has done more for that organizations over the past 30 years than almost any other player and they have ZERO connections to him....or almost any other players.

I'm glad I was parked when Matt played the clip of asking Doug what his favorite move was and Doug's response was hilarious.

I think I have told this story before:

I went out with my family for breakfast one Sunday morning to Wishbone. We were in our early stages of family life back then so we would be up for 6 am mass and still beat crowds by a couple of hours at the popular breakfast spots. It was a warm summer morning so the waitress sat us outside. There was only one other couple out there. They were in the same situation as us with young kids who obviously had them up early. The kids started running around together, since the place was empty. This lead to the couple striking up a conversation with us. I kind of knew who they were anyway as I had met Doug's wife at a fundraiser previously. They seemed like very nice people and a couple that really enjoyed each other's company, for a generation separating their ages. It reflected in their easiness with other people.

How about the time Doug very casually revealed that back in his college days, he was offered a lead role in an adult film. Said he was walking on campus and some guy in limo pulls up and makes the offer. It was hilarious the way he told the story. Like "no big deal guys, could've been in a porno but I decided to turn it down."

The worst memory has to be Wanny kicking him off the practice field.

Really, that is very sad for the players, not like that in Green Bay that is for sure. Why wouldn't you want the former greats around the players?

Is this the part where someone posts about you being an anti-semite? It's been a while so I forgot how that works ...

Sad day. He will be missed. I enjoyed listening to him on the Bears post-game show and afternoons with North on the Score.
