I'm not the biggest Ozzie fan, but I think he could get this team going in the right direction. There seems to have been a mending of fences too. This wouldn't surprise me at all.

And look, I don't really think it's Ventura's fault that this team is playing dead ass baseball, but there's no one else you can practically lay the blame upon. There's too much talent on the roster for them to be this bad. And make no mistake, this team is bad.

The manager does not matter. I recall that being said on this board. Recently as a matter of fact.

....but it s correct....give me any other team in any other sport where the owner hangs out with the trainer, the groundskeeper and the pitching coach? they are part of the White Sox family....which is the biggest joke going right now as the "family" has now taken precedent over the team winning....the example of this is about as clear as it has ever been.

The Edmonton Oilers had been like that for a long time (they finally wised up like, seriously, last week). They've been the worst team in the league over the last five years, maybe more.

Yes for once we are in agreement. I do not think any manager could help this dead ass bunch right now. But a new voice might spark a fire that they do not seem to have. I thought they would be better than this. They fucking blow.

We agree again. But that isn't an indictment of Ventura. And it doesn't make him "bad" or "good". Most people would consider Guillen "better" than Ventura, but they forget that Ventura took the same shitty team that quit on Ozzie in 2011 and almost won with it in 2012. But I suppose some people would say the 2011 team outplayed its numbers and the 2012 team underperformed. Who knows if any of that had anything to do with the manager? It's not real science.

Anyway, the only thing you can do is fire Ventura. You can't fire Samardzija and Danks.

Sorry for blank post . No idea how that happened. We agree again. You pretty much have to launch Robin at this point. New voice in clubhouse probably helps for a short term fix but this team lacks in so many areas.

Why can't you fire / release Danks and Samardzija just like Ventura?
