Julie Di Caro was great on B&B yesterday highlighting why this won't go anywhere. Between the crazy burden of proof to get a rape conviction, plus Kane celebrity status and idiot fans will make her life hell for pursuing this etc, this will go away relatively quietly.

No matter what the outcome for Patrick Kane - guilty, innocent, etc... Patrick, at the very least, needs some help with his alcohol issues.
I trust The Blackhawks Organization will see to this as soon as possible. However, he has to want it and accept the help with a sincere desire to change and not just go through the motions.

Exactly. Whatever the facts of this case turn out to be (and we'll probably never really know), Kane is a fuck up. And I think that's going to be the Blackhawks perspective. Regardless of whether he actually committed a crime, he's careless and he continues to put himself in bad situations.

So how does it work with rape. Does Kane get to post bail and be free until the trial or no bail offered? Does it also matter if it's a minor as to getting bail? I would think so. Wouldn't he be considered a pedophile and a threat to society. Not that a regular rapist isn't a threat to society but I'd think the courts take it more seriously when it's an underage girl.

Idk. When I was 13 I could easily have passed as 17 or 18. I had an id by 16 and went places. I quickly realized how stupid I was and didn't go often. While I agree he should be more careful and smarter I don't know how at fault he would be for this one. That is, unless drugs are involved, then all bets are off and it's all his fault.
