Does this rumor have any legs? Has it shot down yet?

Rudy Gay is a legit starting 3 man with all star ability. This is a no brainer move if it is actually on the table.

I still feel you don't watch the games and only look at a player's PPG.

Rudy Gay teams lose. Remember what you said about Jamal Crawford?

Yes I do. Jamal Crawford is a career loser that piled up numbers on losing teams. He didn't even play in his first playoff game until his ninth yr in the league. The Bulls nor the Knicks ever came close to making the playoffs at any point of his "era".

If you want people to take you serious you have to be a little more consistent and less hypocritical with your positions. Rudy Gay has been a better player and more of a winning player than Jamal Crawford ever was. He also has been a far better player than Lance Stephenson, another guy that you really wanted.

I really don't believe you watch the games either. You're a metrics guy when it comes to baseball and a guy that rides with whatever the consensus happens to be in basketball.

Since you bring up Crawford it's interesting to note that the Clippers are having a hard time giving him away right now. He has now become expendable because they have Lance Stephenson. Oh the irony!

You're behind the times regarding Crawford. He's been reborn as a phenomenal sixth man/instant offense kind of guy for quite some time now. He was obviously miscast as a leading man but for I'd say a 3-5 stretch he was the goods if you were looking to improve your bench's offensive production. He should have been signed over Hamilton as the Bulls' starting SG in 2010-11.

No I'm aware of what he has become, but it took him about 10 yrs to find himself. He also hasn't had a lot of playoff success during his career. He still has been on more losing teams than he has winners. He also is a journeyman. He is on his sixth team and they too are looking to trade him. In what universe other than this message board would Jamal Crawford be considered a better player than Rudy Gay.

The original critique of mine, which IMU continues to try and corrupt, is that Ben Gordon as a Bull was a better player than Crawford. He also contends that Paxson is a bad GM for letting Crawford walk. I guess the other five are also fools too.

Sure he has found his niche as a 6th man, but the best yrs of Ben Gordon are still better than Crawford's best yrs. He also has been a better playoff performer. Jamal Crawford is a career 41% shooter. The Clippers can't find anyone to take him. Was he better than a broke down Rip? Yeah, but that's only because Rip was broke down The best of Rip is also better than the best of Crawford.

The Bulls were terrible when Crawford was here and one of the main reasons that they stunk was because they attempted to feature Crawford as their best or second best player. There were very few people that were sorry to see him go. In fact I didn't know that anyone was sorry until I somehow found that person in IMU.

Adrian Wojnawski and I hope I'm spelling his name right sort of reported it. Nothing solid out there but the idea is being floated. Don't think the two teams have talked but supposedly the Bulls have some interest in Rudy Gay.

Memphis and Toronto both got better when he left. So will the Kings.

I don't think Taj is better than Rudy Gay. He isn't.

I still don't want Rudy Gay on the Bulls.

The fact that you don't want Rudy Gay is actually a positive, seeing that you wanted the Bulls to sign Lance.

You also fail to mention that the Bulls became a much better team the second they allowed Crawford to leave. Ben Gordon who essentially replaced Crawford, was a big reason for their improvement. In your opinion Ben Gordon is a terrible basketball player, though the Bulls made the playoffs during his first yr in the league, which coincidentally was Crawford's first yr. Off the team.

Consistency is the key.
