I don't want Rudy Gay.
Rudy Gay is a legit starting 3 man with all star ability. This is a no brainer move if it is actually on the table.
I still feel you don't watch the games and only look at a player's PPG.
Rudy Gay teams lose. Remember what you said about Jamal Crawford?
Yes I do. Jamal Crawford is a career loser that piled up numbers on losing teams. He didn't even play in his first playoff game until his ninth yr in the league. The Bulls nor the Knicks ever came close to making the playoffs at any point of his "era".
If you want people to take you serious you have to be a little more consistent and less hypocritical with your positions. Rudy Gay has been a better player and more of a winning player than Jamal Crawford ever was. He also has been a far better player than Lance Stephenson, another guy that you really wanted.
I really don't believe you watch the games either. You're a metrics guy when it comes to baseball and a guy that rides with whatever the consensus happens to be in basketball.
Since you bring up Crawford it's interesting to note that the Clippers are having a hard time giving him away right now. He has now become expendable because they have Lance Stephenson. Oh the irony!
You're behind the times regarding Crawford. He's been reborn as a phenomenal sixth man/instant offense kind of guy for quite some time now. He was obviously miscast as a leading man but for I'd say a 3-5 stretch he was the goods if you were looking to improve your bench's offensive production. He should have been signed over Hamilton as the Bulls' starting SG in 2010-11.
