David Schuster of WSCR AM 670: Being Jewish doesn’t make much difference in his career but creates “a comfortable feeling” with many team owners and executives who also are Jewish, he said. “I feel a special kinship to them, but I won’t play that up [on the air] at all."

Are you sure the names didn't get transposed?

Valid question...though the simple use of "intellectual" in the same sentence with the "LOOK...I'M an ASSHOLE" use of the word "mordant" in defining his sense of humor confirmed it was little Danny's quote.

It also doesn't hurt too bad when it comes to relating to station management. And the mordantly humorous aspect comes from keeping the catholics down.

She doesn't share much family resemblance physically. Is it possible that perhaps she isn't Dan's? She is never mentioned except in the plural of kids. She also resembles Rueben a little.

Some people get all the recessive genes. For instance, I've been said to look considerably more Jewish than my dad or sister (mom's Polish all the way). Hey, maybe Matt Spiegel is my dad. It would explain the way I like to savor and absorb David Bowie albums.

How could he not? He wakes up and has breakfast with his family. He takes the kids to school then still has a few hours to himself with the wife at her "job". He gets in to work at about 12:45 and trolls for a few hours. He is home in time for any fun kids activities but late enough that he doesn't have to be bogged down with homework.

The one who lives the better life is the wife. She has some half assed business she can say she is going to whenever the going gets tough. Her husband takes the kids to school, the nanny probably picks them up, feeds them and does the homework. Then she trots in just before Dan gets home to a perfectly clean house with a cooked meal to present to her husband. All she has to do in exchange is not get fat.

It's even better than that for her. Dan says he does all the cooking. So, yeah, Dan puts her on a scale each morning and if she's below 110, she'd good. If not, Dan instructs her to get on the tresdmill right then and there.

Sounds all well and good but I would not want to have sex with Dan even if it is infrequent. Not to mention you'd have to introduce and acknowledge him as your husband. I don't care what lifestyle I'd get to live, no thanks.

No way it's spontaneous. I'm sure Bernstein's wife has agreed to sex once a month. I'm also sure Bernstein made her sign a contract. So Bernstein puts it in his phone calendar and it buzzes on the day.

Dan: Hey, it's the day, honey!!!!

Dan's wife: Oy. Make it quick. No eye contact.

Does he look at being a Jew as if it's a social organization or nationality as opposed to an evil religion that the likes of Tim Tebow or some member of the military industrial complex may be into?

In conclusion, him being a hypocrite about religion is reason # 123 to think Dan is a bad guy.

Bingo. I've often wondered about that.

He's a hypocrite. Then again, he spends his time railing on Christians, but avoids any criticisms of what Jews believe or better yet, Muslims. Funny though, the gay community which he champions so strongly, is not exactly treated warmly by the Muslim world. But that wouldn't be in line with Dan's criticism of 'dopey Christian rubes like Tebow or THE SOUTH'. Wonder how he resolves the very reality a large subsection of the black community is VERY Christian and, eek, they live in the South.

Holy rabbi that is one short family.

Incredibly short. The wife has heels on and is only slightly taller than a 10 year old.

If Dan is like 5'6", the wife must be like 4'10".

And Dan is wearing an ill-fitting suit and shoes with rubber soles. Never wear rubber soled shoes with a proper suit. I'd bet he'd be escorted out of one the SQN gay weddings if he showed up with rubber soled dress shoes.

I think that's a fair statement. Based on where they live (and the fact I that I went to high school near there), my gut is the kid plays at McFetridge. Would be about pee wee age. I know that travel hockey world well and I'm pretty sure his kid plays house league.

House league hockey means 'everyone who signs up plays' and each team usually features a couple of kids who can't skate. 'House League Goalie' means 'parents bought him the very expensive goalie gear so therefore he's the goalie'.

But the wife is said to be found 'screaming at her son's hockey games'. Hockey mom screaming at a house league hockey game is comparable to 'encore' screams for an opening band on a Tuesday night at a bad suburban bar.

'Analytical way of viewing the world'

So all Jews are analytical? Or does that mean that only Jews are analytical?

Dan = conveniently Jewish

He wasn't allowed to be a skater because of concussion risks. I wonder if all his baseball games have to be night games, too.

I think he is a house squirt goalie and played out of mcfetridge...where they have rat traps in the locker rooms.

This reminds me of the time that Danny broke ground by arguing--for a full show and a half--that Gabby Douglas was ugly and worthless as a human because she was fat.
