You start your backup QB and, perhaps, eventually Fales if Cutler is out for an extended period and Clausen doesn't look good.

There aren't enough starting caliber QB's to go around the league; very few teams have backup QB's who can provide decent production when a starter is out.

When a starting QB is injured, in most cases, that team is going down the drain. If the solution is to sign a QB off the street, or fire the GM, that's idiotic.

Pace doesn't deserve to be in his job if he thought Clausen was any good to begin with. But this is material for the "Fire Ryan Pace" thread.

Fales should start. No point in Clausen playing.

For next week, there isn't a choice. For Week 4, there could be another option (Fales/Cutler) depending on the injury news and the performance in Week 3.
