So my point here is, it's great to comment, about what we're doing and be critical of it. But I would ask all those people who signed the petition, now that you've got your goal horn, to buy season seats - My sales team is standing by right now - and support the Islanders in Brooklyn. Don't just support them on Twitter with criticism of what we're doing. But vote with your wallet, support them with your wallet and and come see islanders hockey in Brooklyn.

I stand by my assessment from earlier, which is that there's not much you can read into this one between the extended preseason for the veterans and the inexcusable condition of the ice. Players are calling it "just awful." We could have a real problem on our hands. I'm not convinced Ratner doesn't rebuild Nassau as an NHL-compliant venue and the Isles get out in five years.

Nassau was severely outdated. No suites, no club level.....etc. It was like the old MECCA in Milwaukee.
Plus, it wasn't actually IN NYC like this one is. Always helps to have your professional sports venue in an area of high population concentration.
