As the rules are yes. There should no special exceptions for ND. I hated way back when the did the first BCS. This, this, this AND Notre Dame. Screw them.

ND has got to get away from the annual Navy-Army games, They need to Schedule A couple SEC teams.

Haven't played Army since 2010.

Navy is ranked higher than all but two of the teams from the SEC.

That's because too many people fall into the trap of believing that one loss teams are automatically better than teams with two or three losses.

What do you think Navy's record would be, if they played an SEC schedule?

Woah. Things getting a little sketchy there after the game with Art Briles and the TCU fans.
The two Texas Rangers(?) assigned to Briles were pretty much helpless. Might need better crowd control for those good Christian students at TCU.

That was horse shit to storm the field tonight. If TCU handled their shit all year they would be in the top 4. A #19 or 17 or whatever they were team storming a meaningless game vs the #7 team is ridiculous. If this were Kansas winning....fine but the EXPECTED Big 12 champ....weak sauce.

It's a glorious Saturday when Notre Dame loses...and its even better when it is Stanford who beats them. Kelly leaves too much time on the clock and it results in a L.

I couldn't ask for a better college football day than to see both shitbags urban meyer and Brian Kelly left out of the playoff. I feel bad comparing kelly to meyer because Meyer is just about the biggest piece of shit on earth with just about the biggest candy shell around him....Kelly is just a red ass that I don't like.

I dislike Kelly more than anyone in college athletics. Fuck him.

They are both awful human beings but at least Kelly doesn't hide behind religion. What Urban did while at Florida is revolting. He can take his bible study sessions with Hernandez and place them up his tight, elite ass. Love how he also vouched for McDonald to the bears before they signed him.

Don't think Ohio St is completely done. If UNC beats Clemson then I bet the Buckeyes get back in.

So Miles stays but Richt, at 9-3, gets fired. Kind of dumb. They had the top high school QB coming in next year. They must have a name already in play.

Big rumor that is out there is Tom Herman coming from Houston to take over. My guess is it will be him or The DC from Bama.

In
Oklahomo
Big 10 winner
ACC winner (12-1 UNC gets in)
Alabama

If Bama stumbles, Big 10 Championship loser, or OSU gets in.

I think OSU gets in with a Bama loss and quite possibly with a Clemson loss too. That would be a great debate on whether OSU or UNC deserve the bid.

Agreed completely on OSU.

While I've never particularly cared for UGA, I've thought that Richt is somewhat snakebit. He has lost his best RB for big stretches of the last two years (& bowls) & lost his star QB the year before that.

Welcome back to the Ray Goff era UGA (if they pick up Bama's DC)! They won one title in the last 70 years but still believe themselves to be on par with Alabama, Florida, or LSU. Hell, Georgia Tech at least won part of a title in the last 25 years.

OSU will be the sexier pick, and they have the title defense angle working in their favor.

I have heard some suggest Stanford may back their way in. I don't see it. There are too many strong one-loss teams.

Stanford has a very remote chance but not likely - it would take complete chaos.

Clemson, Alabama, and Iowa would all have to lose, and Stanford would have to pound USC, for them to even have a shot. I still think one loss OSU goes in before Stanford no matter what.
The more I think about it, OSU probably goes in over NC, if Clemson loses. Can anybody really make a case that OSU isn't one of the best four teams?

Alabama will be at least a three point favorite in any playoff game. If they play Iowa, it may be more than ten.

I do not agree that the ACC winner gets in no matter what.

UNC would need a couple things to go their way.

Oh, it's not a slam dunk. But beating a 12-0 Clemson team, who you said was the clear cut #1, would be a nice addition to the resume. I think OSU is better than UNC, regardless of who wins the ACC.

It seems to me that the four best teams are:
Alabama
Clemson
Oklahoma
Ohio State

It would have been nice to see Ohio St. play just once all year like it played on Saturday.
