Rose is not untradeable. He is young and can still play. Kobe is old and cannot play much.

Bulls have lots of guys who have value, not just Butler and Portis. Most are just not playing particularly well, at the moment.

I don't think Minnesota was ever really talking to anyone outside of GS and Cleveland for Love.

I can't blame the Bulls for not landing Kobe. They had the assets and were willing to make the deal at the time. Kobe didn't want to play with a stripped down team like that. I can't really fault anyone there. The only time Gasol was traded nobody even knew he was on the market until after the trade went down. That's why everyone was so pissed(that, and they thought Marc Gasol sucked).

The Bulls were willing but Kobe wanted to play with Luol.

But they were willing to. The deal with Kobe and LA was done. Both teams agreed to it. Kobe wouldn't agree to it because it left the Bulls with basically nothing.

Wasn't the Gasol-to-Lakers trade basically rigged by the NBA? No way the Bulls couldn't have provided a better package than the shit the Lakers gave up for him.

Everyone thought it was shit at the time, and rightfully so, but it turned out to be a great trade for Memphis. In hindsight, the Bulls wouldn't have been able to top that offer. Maybe the Griz knew something the rest of the NBA didn't about Marc.

The Bulls are 14-8 and have defeated 3-4 highly regarded teams already. Played GS close also. Everyone agrees on the fact that both the talent stinks and Hoiberg can't coach. I would suggest they pick a lane but it should be obvious. How can both be true? Their winning percentage is over .600
