All this thread is doing is making me want to burn some airline miles and go to Joe's, Gates, and LC's in Kansas City and eat great BBQ all day and fly home.

Went to the VH location for lunch today. Really wasn't as bad as shakes' advertised. Brisket was juicy and quite good. The cornbread casserole was good. I like their Carolina sauce.

Maybe it's because it was fresh at the restaurant and not catered in...

It is a glorious weekend, and best done as a group of 4-8 so as to share food at the various stops.
