You may want to check the punctuation on your "infinitive phrase". Doubling down on stupidity appears to be a strong suit of yours.

And I readily admit that I happened to be wrong about it being a prepositional phrase.

I made a grammatical error. How is that for deflection?

I just found it necessary to point out that, while I did make the error, at least I have a clearer understanding of what the error was. I didn't even need to "work in education" for that.

Once again, I must point out that there are twenty or thirty very active basketball posters...and all of them engage me. Only you believe my arguments are out of left field. You also believe that most of the basketball posters are wrong, even when they all agree with each other. The lone dissenter is often the one that is in the wrong.

You remind me of a pomeranian. You bark at everything and everyone, but you're cute and harmless.

He was signed at the same time the signing of Tyrus Thomas 2.0 was made.

He was already on the roster. He masqueraded as Bobby Portis.

I correctly understood that you made an incomplete sentence. Don't need to work in education, as your avg 3rd grader can spot the mistake, as they could other grammatical errors that you made. The point is that I don't make it a point to play "gotcha" games all the time. I really don't need message board validation in order to be "whole" either. There are plenty of people here that I can agree or disagree with. It's a discussion. It's normal to disagree. I have opinions like everyone that posts here.

You are attempting to carry on a battle that has ceased to exist. You think that it's a coincidence that your only comment regarding something I posted was to point out the slight misspelling of a word. You speak of grammatical "errors", yet during your critique you make several. Give it a rest. The jig is up.

We've identified one. Please feel free to point out any others.

I was not involved in this discussion. I had nothing to offer except to make fun of your terrible posts.

What do you need me to analyze for you? You're wrong on Portis. He isn't good and won't be good. Snell and Portis will be out of the league sooner rather than later. Gibson is 4x the player Portis is.

Portis is kind of a spaz, but I haven't completely written him off yet. I honestly can't tell whether anyone playing under Hoiberg is useful or useless.

you know, after thinking about this dwyane wade thing for a day or two i've come around to the thinking that one of the desired effects of him coming in is to have a legit "alpha" (-rajon rondo) with a few rings show up to remind jimmy butler of his place in the grand scheme of things. seeing as jimmy's the youngest guy on the longest contract it stands to reason that he'll likely be around the longest out of everyone, so when this dwyane wade thing pops up all like "plz don't make me go to denver" they tell themselves they'll have some buzz and hopefully having a legit "that dude" in here will provide jimmy with an example of what you gotta do to be "that dude" in this league.

...or hey maybe dwyane is totally past it and coasting on the rep of ~5+ years ago and he'll provide a horrible example for jimmy. who knows? either way i think the bulls found it impossible to say no when dwyane wade showed up like "guys please don't make me play basketball in denver or milwaukee. coimeon guys... i promise i'll say nice things about fred"

right now i reckon "make fred look good" is something akin to "make roman look good" in the WWE over the last few years

Another one of the disagree for the sake of being disagreeable posters. I thought DMan dispensed with you, but I was so sadly mistaken. Glad to see you could join make it. After all no thread could be complete without the rambling, incoherent thoughts of Brick.

The use of the period demonstrates that you don't even know the meaning of "infinitive phrase".

Secondly, you're attempting to lower the pitcher's mound or eat the turnbuckle by continuing to illustrate that Bobby Portis is trrrible. That may be true but it still doesn't make him Tyrus Thomas. An man of immense intelligence would not continue to make such a fallacious argument.

Lastly, the "terrible post" argument is well past it's expiration date. Find a new beat. Just because there is a failure to call you on idiotic hoop thoughts doesn't mean that said thoughts are any less idiotic.

When answering a question with a response such as one word or a small phrase, a period is the correct punctuation. Have you ever even read a book? I think you're confusing casual speech and business writing.

You're right, it doesn't make him Tyrus Thomas. Tyrus Thomas had a much better rookie campaign. Portis is worse than Thomas.

It would be an infinitive phrase if it were part of a complete sentence. It's not. It's simply an incomplete sentence. You should have used a comma (irony) and not a period.

Lastly Portis could be a bum. His game is still nothing like Tyrus Thomas. Maybe Boilermaker Rick your comrade for incoherence, can point out the discrepancy for you.

He has a chance. Game is a little too perimeter. Settles for jumpers when he should attack. I think it has to do with his lack of athleticism. Plays below the rim. Needs to get better defensively. Love his motor and he doesn't mind competing. He also has nice size for the 4 spot and he can run the floor. I think he will be good. He should be able to move Taj out this yr.

I wish that Portis would box out with more urgency and stay more involved on D rotations. I actually think his offense is pretty solid other than the aforementioned tendency to settle for jumpers when he has a driving lane.

His shot selection has to improve too. He has never met a shot he didn't like.

It was part of a complete sentence. The punctuation was incorrect. That doesn't change it from being an infinitive phrase.

You're probably right, but it's more who finishes the game. I would expect Gibson on the floor late in games (although they could mix and match lineups allowing both to be).

Mirotic is really important to next season's team given the lack of shooting on this roster.

Bulls sign G Isaiah Canaan to two-year deal worth $2.2 million, second year team option, per a source. @ChrisBHaynes had it first
