You have GOT to be kidding me.

They really are counting on the ratings from Cub games to mask everything, aren't they?

It's a relevant topic.

Nothing wrong with that.

Its is probably BS that they claim it is for the players of Joe P's era but I started thinking. What a shame to pretend like everything was bad and/or never happened for all those great players and maybe more so for the not so great ones. Still shouldn't honor Joe in any way but it got me thinking.

Yeah it doesn't wipe out the good that he did, but it definitely overshadows it.

Seems like most former players choose to simply ignore the bad and want to focus only on the good.

That's fine, but you come across like a moron when you do that.

As the board's resident Penn State person, can I say that Chicago radio talks more about that guy than radio here.

While I don't condone Bernstein's constant focus on this, he is correct on this issue. Have you heard these fuckin zombies? Some kid referred to Paterno as a "God" the other day.

Those mouthbreathers remind me of those catholics who defended the catholic church after their, um, problems.

Not coincedentally, many of those people are the same defending Paterno.

hey in fairness i'm pretty sure that i read about penn state wanting to do something to commemerate the 50th anniversary of joe paterno coaching his first game at penn state. something something child rape = you basically pretend that the dude doesn't exist and never reference him again, cuz evidently he decided along the way that a few (dozen?) raped kids << continuity on your coaching staff? yeah seriously idk if going out of your way to commemorate the guy is ever really gonna be a good idea ever again.

that said, hearing about it for hours on end = why i avoided b&b on friday tbh.... altho shit didnt the cubs go to extras and they did the veritable-division-clinching postgame party so dan didn't even come on the air on friday? *shrug*
