I've seen enough.
I'm sending an email to Aunt Ginny's assistant as we speak.
Some of the penalties last night were pretty weak. The lack of discipline with the false starts and players being out of position is not acceptable. 5th string LB's...OR NOT.
If I woulda had a little more time b4 I got my ticket to the game Monday I woulda wore this shirt to the game...
Seriously, the best part about Fox is that he has a proper coaching circle and can get coordinators/assistants young and old who are capable of getting a head coaching job after one 6-10 season as a coordinator here.
This is of paramount importance coming off of the Marx Trestman era where that goofy football autist had fucked off to Canada for ~5yrs AFTER he managed to not make a bunch of friends/allies in his various gigs around the NFL. I remember that Mel Tucker was SO bad that (when it was his turn to be the scapegoat) I heard someone on Bears All Access say "you hire Mel Tucker as your DC if you want to be bad at defense..."
and Zach Zaidman said nothing to correct the guy or otherwise defend Mel Tucker (via something like "well in fairness to Mel the bears' defense had a lot of injuries and despite that managed to be 9th against the run in December" =)
AHEM. So yeah, Fangio is pretty nice in that it seems like he's been able to do some "more than the sum of their parts" defense in 2/3 seasons here, loggaints has his occasional moments but tends to have his offenses figured out around the middle of the 2nd quarter and then it's a 40/60 or maybe 30/70 chance that he'll be able to adjust to the adjustments and get the offense going again by the 4th quarter (something Trestman did almost every game back in 2013/year-1) and uhhhhh.... Do we even have a special teams coordinator? I never heard the guy's name b4!!
TLDR = the only good thing about Fox is that he's able to get solid professional-grade coordinators in here to at least give you a legit shot at being pretty cromulent (esp on defense) otherwise the combo of him and loggaints calling so many plays on 3rd and long that are ~3+ yards short of the first down AND require blocks + broken-tackles/jukes to make a first down = MADDENING AS HELL!!!!
TLDR TLDR = MOZILLA FIREFOX OUGHT TO BE *THE* OFFICIAL WEB BROWSER OF YOUR CHICAGO BEARS!!!
