Definitely some folks don't like NBA stuff because they're racist but let not generalize here. Let me be clear: I want nothing to do with that Noreen vs Embild thread or whatever. I may have posted in it but I really don't give a shit about that. I couldn't care less, especially with what's going on with Loyola and the NFL draft coming up. Does that make me racist? And there are plenty of people who don't care about the NBA for reasons not related to race. Hell there are African Americans who don't give a shit about LBJ or the NBA etc. Even Tyrus Thomas didn't give a shit about the NBA and he played in it.

I don't care about Hockey or the Cubs. I'm not going to post in those threads or any thread talking about my hatred of them.

I'm not going to talk ad nauseum about what an injustice it is for a talk show to discuss baseball or hockey either..

I'm also not going to make statements about how the ratings declined as a result without actual evidence either.
You have guys on here making definitive statements regarding ratings without one shred of evidence to support it.

To hear them tell it NBA talk is the primary reason for the ratings decline. They have no way of knowing that.

Not caring is completely different than hatred.

The NBA is the only one of the major leagues that gets that level of vitriol.

You're not going to talk about those things because those things don't happen. What happens (or happened) is the marquee show on 670 did disproportionately talk about the NBA. Good for NBA fans but bad for people who don't like the NBA. Since the NBA was the center of attention on Bernstein's show it got a lot of criticism. The same thing would happen if you swapped the NHL for the NBA. They weren't balanced.
