I read about the Emergency Goalie story this morning. Why do they even bother with something like that? Just tell someone on the roster to put on some pads and get out there. Hawks busted down to 8th. I'd consider trading for a roster player if the offer is right. Jersey got Schneider for a 7th. He never helped them very much, they still missed the playoffs the next four years, but quite a haul.

Would love them to get Hughes or Walstrom. I don’t think the Schneider trade is a good comp since everyone knew that was a terrible trade for Vancouver. But if they could get a player of Schneider’s ilk, I’d definitely be in favor of it.

I don't think he'll be there after Detroit (another org that loves USNDTPers) and Vancouver, though. I think the Hawks are in the trade-the-future-for-the-present territory that I used to make fun of the Sharks for always being in. Sharks didn't win the Cup three times, though.
