You hate tanking NBA seasons, so I don't understand how you could be ok with either. Both are nice players but will never be stars. An entire NBA season down the shitter for a good not great player? You have to take fucking swing with a guy like Porter.

I get that point of view but I don't subscribe to it.

Since I hate tanking with a passion, I don't want to draft a stiff and be in this same position next year after watching another miserable season. Get a good player at 7. Don't get a guy with the highest ceiling and lowest floor.

Can Carter play center in today's NBA? If so I'm ok with that. If he & Lauri play the same position of if they intend to play LM at SF then a big no.

Not everyone needs to be a great shooter. His primary scoring option is driving and finishing and most guys who are elite at that aren't also great shooters and if they are they are top 2 prospects, not top 10-12.

I think there are a lot more important factors to look at than A/T ratio on a one and done team where he wasn't surrounded by good shooting talent and was the defense's main focus every game.

Trae Young lead the nation in assists (and scoring) on a one and done team where he wasn't surrounded by good shooting talent and was the defense's main focus every game...and he would make you unhappy (a point on which I agree but not as much as if they picked Sexton).

I'm not a fan of drafting Duke players (despite being a fan) but I'd be more than happy with Carter. I think Bagley's going to have some major issues.

Yes but I have much more doubts about the rest of Young's overall game and his makeup. By all accounts Sexton is very smart, very hard working, and very passionate about basketball. All prospects are crapshoots to an extent but I'd rather get a guy that I'm confident will do everything he can to maximize his strengths and improve his weaknesses.

I think Sexton will be a good two way player with a chance to be great. I think Young has a higher ceiling but a much lower floor and I think he will need to be an elite scorer at the NBA level simply to be a productive player with how bad he may be defensively.
