As great as Myles Garrett has been if you redo the 2017 draft (knowing what you know now)it's

1) Mahomes
2) (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky
3) Watson

you can flip 2 or 3, depending, but not splitting hairs there. I suspect whoever goes to CLE is a bust though.

as hub would say... you know something no one is talking about is adam sheehan was a 2nd round pick who hasnt done shit yet. at least he cant fuck up a 1st round pick the next two years. here's hoping they start drafting actual football players and not size speed strength freaks on Thursday/friday of the draft.

Shaheen was drafted for a completely different offense than what Nagy runs. Its why they signed Burton even under the assumption Shaheen would be healthy. It is what it is.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky wouldn't even be a first rounder if the draft we redone today. No way he's taken ahead of Garrett and Watson

you dont draft a division 3 tight end in the 2nd round to fit a scheme... i recall gronk comparisons... unfortunately due to the fact he was running circles around midget division 3 defenders.

you sign a 300 pound TE for $15M with a long last name to fit a scheme

Also if you look at the Leonard Floyd drop, it's a massive shit show in that first round(outside of a few anomalies). Giants wanted a corner but got stuck with Apple, who blows. Tampa took Hargreaves, who sucks too. It just wasn't the place to be.

I hated the fucking Shaheen pick on draft day, believe me.

Shaheen was drafted for this offense. He was drafted for the next head coach and I'm pretty sure Fox knew it.

You are an idiot. Obviously you do not understand talent or can spot it. Not a first round draft pick? Hilarious. Worry about your own dog-assed team.

I hated the Floyd pick, he looks like a huge buster. Mitch looks solid, I'll give Pace a C plus this far..possible B minus if (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky keeps improving.

It (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky keeps improving to the point that he is considered a top 10 QB, the Bears would be a playoff contender for the next 7-10 years, assuming health. Landing a franchise type QB through the draft should qualify Pace for an A.

Possibly, I'll never be able to forgive moving up unnecessarily. Trading up for Floyd was inexcusable also. Floyd has the frame of Kevin White and he was old (24 ish) real bad pick. His best move was hiring Nagy and Khalil mack trade.. Those moves were huge.

I questioned whether he knew anything about football and it's looking a lot of his decisions in the off season are paying off. I can only think that the Bears and Packers reverse the team records if Mack goes to the Pack.

The Mack trade is making a lot of his other decisions not seem as bad as they are/were. Cohen is another great call by Pace, and Nagy looks to be the right call for HC (tho Pace did fail at his 1st attempt.. which may or may not have even been his call)

He didn't fail by hiring a coach who had been to 2-3 superbowls and who had, at the time, a great W/L record.

The great Fox defender returns. Pace hired Fox. Fox sucked. Doesn’t matter what he did previously. Same applies to the GM that hires McCarthy.

I don't think we're talking about the same thing. I'm saying whenever Fox was hired, 2013 or 2014 whenever it was, it wasn't a bad call. The only thing that would make anyone say that is undetected hindsight bias.

Nonsense.. I hated hated the Fox hire. Denver had to fire his ass to win a ring. The guy was too old, the game passed him by.
