It was done just so he start trolling. And this is what is supposed to pass for candor and honesty on here. It's a damn joke.

Portis is having the best year of his career this year. I always knew IMU would eventually see the light on him.

Whatever he is he isn't as good as Parker.

Parker has been the ultimate locker room cancer this year. It's irrelevant how much natural talent he has if he's going to act like that big of a fucking diva in a locker room. Good riddance. Portis should've broke his jaw too

Portis would never have been able to step foot in Chicago again had he done that.

He hasn't been a Cancer. He probably is a little indifferent and your "good riddance" proclamation means nothing given how much you miss on players.

Kid can play. Anyone who knows basketball knows it. He will go somewhere else and flourish and you will still be clinging to silly comments like this.
His value around the league will soon be known. It seems highly unlikely that the Wiz will pick up his option - thus making him an UFA. Shouldn't the $/yr qualify as a determinant of his value? How much says good vs average vs cancer?

How much money do you want to bet that most "experts" favored Miami in that series? This conversation will end rather quickly and everything except money will be discussed.

He will get a double digit contract. Probably in the 12-15 range. That is solid for a guy the Bulls deemed unworthy of playing. You can't justify playing D-League caliber guys (Harrison/Blakeney) and a rookie over him. That is my point. He should have been playing. It was stupid to bench him and even the team announcer agreed about that.

Try hard guys with great attitudes are one of the main reasons that they are trotting out such a shitty product. This is professional sports. It ain't elementary school where you have to consider everyone's feelings. Win games. He helps much more than the clowns that they have been trotting out there night after night.

I re-read the thread. This is my mistake. Dallas was NOT favored in that series.

viewtopic.php?p=2965115#p2965115

This was about how many times LeBron was favored in a series versus how many championships he won. Someone had said that LeBron was always favored and he is a disappointment for only winning 3 series. But he was only favored in three of the NBA championships he played in. The 538 link describes those series.

In my original post, when I was more versed on the topic, I had stated the Mavericks were stacked in 2011, but noted they were still the underdogs.

So when people want to know whose favored they consult Nate Silver? Been around this game a long time didn't know that.

It's really a wonder that you aren't more of a Savant with guys like Nate Silver leading the charge.

I knew you would duck the bet because for every Nate Silver I would have produced 4 that said Miami was favored.

He was favored against Dallas. Nate Silver doesn't change that. Most people favored Miami. That's a fact.

Early point to you on this one but we’ll see. SSS.

I don’t think they can realistically mess up the tank too badly. I’d be shocked if they don’t finish in the bottom 4.

Top 3 or they're fucked.

Not at all. Top 3 have a 14% chance of the #1 pick and 4th has a 12.5% chance at it. Not a big difference under the new structure this year.

Isnt there only a 1% difference in chances between bottom 3 and the 4th spot for chances at the top pick?
